St Andrews Links

Scotland

The Eden Course is slightly more forgiving than its contemporaries on the seaward side of the Links, the Eden Course was built in 1914 by the world renowned Harry S. Colt whose use of the natural boundaries and severe bunkers provides a course full of character.  It is a little shorter and than the New or Jubilee Course but still provides a challenge in the ever present wind that sweeps across the links.

Crafted by the master Harry S. Colt and later tweaked by the modern genius Donald Steel, the Eden course is a short, enjoyable layout that’s a favorite among the St. Andrews locals. Located roughly a 20-minute walk from downtown, the course features natural boundaries and severe bunkering. Don’t let the lack of overwhelming yardage fool you. The par-3s, No. 5 and No. 8 both measure well less than 200 yards from the back tees, but are daunting in their design and delightful to play.
