Blairgowrie Golf Club

Blairgowrie - Lansdowne

Built in the 1970's, this is a fine piece of work from Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas. The course is slightly longer than its older brother, and, many would say, a much sterner test. The course is played over beautiful heathland fairways, lined by forests of pine and silver birch. A liberal sprinkling of purple heather, broom and gorse add considerable colour to an already majestic setting. The 17th is a fierce three-shot par-5 that must be given due respect.

Blairgowrie - Rosemount

The Rosemount course at Blairgowrie Golf Club was crafted through birch and pine trees by Dr. Alister MacKenzie and James Braid. Doglegs are featured on half of the holes, requiring accurate positioning of the tee shot. While the fairways are slightly generous, the large greens are ripe with undulation. Has been the host site for many significant professional and amateur championships through the years. Considered by many as one of the finest inland courses in Britain.
