The 153rd Open in 2025 on the Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland shall be a memorable and much-anticipated championship.

Following the success of The 148th Open at Royal Portrush in 2019 when Shane Lowry raised the Claret Jug as Champion Golfer of the Year – only the second time Northern Ireland has hosted The Open, the first being in 1951 – the R&A confirmed its return in 2025 for the third time in 74 years. The Open, sometimes referred to as The British Open or The Open Championship, is the oldest of all four major championships in professional golf and shall be played July 13 – 20, 2025.
