Overnight: At Sea
Today it’s time to relax and reset. Make your reservations early for The Sanctum Spa, a world-class wellness facility offering a full range of health, beauty and restorative treatments. Complimentary fitness and nutrition classes are available along with a fully equipped gym on Deck 9 offering magnificent sea views. There’s room for everyone on the Pool Deck both in and out of the sun. Service to your lounge chair is available from The Pool Bar where the attentive staff is always ready to offer an inclusive cocktail, beer, bottled water, soft drink or fresh towel. The Patio restaurant serves casual fare during the day then completely transforms itself into a sit-down al fresco dining experience at night with table linens and candles. Elegant specialty dining is available for beef at Prime C and Italian at Aqualina. Windows Café serves casual buffet dining with every imaginable choice indoors and out at the sensational Sunset Bar.

Golfers disembark in Durban (along with any accompanying PerryGolf non-golfing guests who wish to participate - reduced rate charge applies) for an easy PerryGolf two-round, one-night, off ship overland excursion including breakfast, dinner & drinks at the beautiful Capital Zimbali Resort.
The group will rejoin Azamara Quest in the late afternoon of February 13 in Richards Bay. Light lunches are also included along with normal golf program amenities.
GOLF: Durban Country Club combines lush vegetation, sand dunes and gorgeous views of the Indian Ocean and is a typical links layout with wide, undulating fairways. As a regular host for the South African Open as well as the Volvo Open in 2013 and 2014, the course measures 6,400 yards and plays to a par 70 from the club tees. The par-5 5th will seize your attention due to the elevated tee, gusting wind and ocean view.
After golf, the group will make the 60-minute drive north to Zimbali and check-in to the Capital Zimbali Resort, before enjoying drinks & dinner in the resort (a tour-included feature).
Non-Golfing guests who participate on our overland program may enjoy morning ship shore excursions, before joining the golfers for our journey north to Zimbali.

GOLF: Zimbali Country Club offers irresistible ocean and forest views, exceptional water and wetland features within an inspiring natural setting, and has developed the reputation of a memorable course with charisma and challenge. With the agenda of "conservation takes precedence," international golf course designer and former British and South African PGA champion, Tom Weiskopf crafted a course with dramatic elevation changes, varying eco-systems, which is ecologically sound while maximizing the natural landscape.
Non-golf guests will enjoy a complimentary included spa treatment.
Following golf, the group make the 90-minute drive north to Richards Bay to rejoin Azamara Quest.

Richards Bay, named for the British Naval Commander who landed troops on the Zululand coast in 1879, is one of South Africa’s largest harbors and home to the world’s largest export coal terminal. The multitude of specialized ships that dock and depart here are a certain point of interest for any maritime enthusiasts. The sandy shores of Alkanstrand Beach provide a lovely, relaxing place to spend a morning or afternoon. Hippos, crocodiles and more than 300 species of native birds can be observed at the Tuzigazi Waterfront, an idyllic nature conservation area located at the confluence of the Mzingazi River and Lake Mzingazi.

GOLF: Humewood Golf Club was considered the top course in South Africa by the legendary countryman, professional Bobby Locke during his prime in the 1930s and 40s. A genuine seaside links, Humewood has played host to the South African Open and South African Amateur on many occasions and Ernie Els is a past champion of the Goodyear Classic, held at the course from 1984-1992. The greens were converted to bent grass in 2009 and the result was consistently magnificent putting surfaces.
SIGHTSEEING: Port Elizabeth is known for its supreme natural beauty, specifically the pristine beaches and vast areas for unsurpassed game watching. Take a stroll and enjoy the views from the stunning Storms River Bridge. Visit the Seaview Lion Park or make a trip to the Addo National Elephant Park, which is the only place in the world that’s home to each of Africa’s Big 7 - lion, buffalo, leopard, the endangered black rhino, elephant, Great White Shark and Southern Right Whale.

GOLF: Pinnacle Point is set high above the Indian Ocean, providing sensational, breathtaking views of the crystal blue water from across the course, this is truly a magnificent and memorable design. In all seven holes run parallel to the ocean shore. The home hole is a fierce risk-reward par-5.
SIGHTSEEING: Mossel Bay is a harbour town on the Garden Route in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. It’s known for the wide Santos Beach and the 19th-century Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse, which offers bay views. The Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex includes the Maritime Museum, the Shell Museum and botanical gardens. The Post Office Tree, a milkwood tree in the complex, has been used as a mail collection point since the 1500’s.

GOLF: Pearl Valley, set in the famous Franschhoek Wine region, is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and a treat to play. Pearl Valley is considered one of the top conditioned courses. As with many Nicklaus courses, water on the right with plenty of sand, will keep the golfers minds off the wide landing areas provided. The course and its geographical location allow for guests to enjoy a day outing in the Winelands with high quality golf to compliment the food and wine.
SIGHTSEEING: Cape Town is an iconic and cosmopolitan city, its waterfront area once described as a combination of San Diego and the inner Baltimore harbour on steroids. Walk through the Company Gardens, the fresh produce gardens for ships and locals from the mid 17th Century and today. Downtown you’ll find the SA Museum, Cultural History Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George’s Cathedral. Head through the city to Greenmarket Square to browse African mementos at its bustling market stalls.

Disembark Azamara Quest at 9:00AM.
Arrive at Cape Town Airport today. You will be met off your international flight and be transferred to The Lanzerac Hotel, located in the wine capital of Stellenbosch. (1 hour drive).
Welcome drinks and dinner are included this evening.

GOLFERS: Today play on the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate. Set on the Spier De Zalze Wine Estate, Spier (Afrikaans meaning Pure) is a fairly new course with some of the best golf holes in the Cape. As host club to the 2006 Eisenhower Trophy, Spier prides itself in tremendous playing surfaces and excellent overall golf experience. The first 3 and last 2 holes are superb golf holes with the Eerste River coming into play on all 5 holes.
NON-GOLFERS: Explore more of the Winelands area with your private guide. Visit Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, Babylonstoren Gardens and other interesting sights.
OVERNIGHT: Lanzerac Hotel - Luxury Room
GOLFERS: Play today at Erinvale. This Gary Player designed championship golf course has fast become renowned throughout the golfing world. Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, few courses can compete with the views offered by Erinvale. A tough, yet flat front nine prepares golfers for the hilly back nine where the course really livens up. Huge bent grass greens and bunkers that only Player could think of are hallmarks of this course. Erinvale hosted the 1996 World Cup of Golf (Won by Ernie Els and Wayne Westner) and the SA Open in 2002 and 2003.
NON-GOLFERS: Robben Island Tour. Depart from Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront by ferry for a 30-minute trip across Table Bay to Robben (Seal) Island. This World Heritage Site and South Africa’s most revered national monument was a prison for some 450 years, for convicts, slaves, exiled Eastern princes, lepers, the insane and those punished for resisting oppressive rule. Among its more famous inmates was 19th Century tribal chief, Makhanda, who lost his life attempting to escape by boat across the Bay, and South Africa’s first democratic president, Nelson Mandela, who spent 2 decades of his life here along with some 3000 other political detainees. This stirring tour is led by guides (some of whom were once inmates) and includes a visit to the Prison Block and the infamous Limestone Quarry, where prisoners toiled, as well as a drive around the island with it breathtaking views across the bay. Return by ferry to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, and enjoy spectacular views of the city and Table Mountain (weather permitting).

Cape Peninsula Tour for all guests. Depart the city along the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard, en route to the fishing village of Hout Bay to explore the harbour, visiting its fish markets and shops. Continue over the 600m heights of Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most breath-taking passes and past the Cape’s longest beach, with a chance to spot Southern Right Whales just offshore from June to November.
Enter the Cape of Good Hope National Park for a walk (or optional funicular ride) up to the Cape Point Lighthouse, to take in magical ocean vistas at this, the south westernmost point of Africa. Head along the False Bay coast to Boulders Beach near Simonstown to see a colony of African Penguins and then continue past the seaside resorts of False Bay, towards the city. The last stop of the day is Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, for a walk through one of the largest collections of indigenous plants in the world.

Check-out of the hotel and store luggage before the morning tour Cape Town.
Historic Cape Town & Table Mountain. Depart the city for the Lower Cableway Station to board the revolving cable car for a 5-minute ride to the top of Table Mountain. 1036 meters above sea level, it affords bird’s-eye views of both city and Peninsula as you walk its summit (weather permitting). Return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company Gardens, the fresh produce gardens for ships and locals from the mid 17th Century and today, home to the SA Museum, Cultural History Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George’s Cathedral. Stroll through the city to Greenmarket Square to browse African mementos at its bustling market stalls.
After lunch, return to the hotel to collect the luggage and transfer to the Cruise Terminal for embarkation.
