Bovey Castle

Bovey Castle is a multi-million dollar venture in the heart of one of England’s most famous national parks. Set within 368 square miles of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon in the South West of England. Opened in the spring of 2004, it provides guests with a private and tranquil haven complemented by a style, quality and ambience often aspired to but rarely found. The Castle’s 65 individually designed bedrooms and bathrooms enjoy a variety of views and are looked after twice daily by cheerful house staff who will provide a friendly and attentive service. Enjoy one of a 112 historic cocktails in the 1920’s Oak Room and Piano Bar each evening to the sounds of our resident pianist. The Castle’s main dining room is equally impressive, in the style of an original 1920’s art deco Palm Court, with chinoiserie hand-painted wall coverings. The Old Course at Bovey Castle is a challenging and beautiful championship golf course, designed in 1926 by JF Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers of the Golden Era. The course has been refurbished and restored to its former glory by Donald Steel and Tom MacKenzie. In addition to the golf course, a wealth of Sporting activities are on offer on the estate including: 11 miles of Salmon and Trout Fishing, Equestrian Centre, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Falconry, Tennis, Croquet, Picnic Cruising, 4 x 4 Driving & Quad Biking and Archery. Guests can relax and enjoy the luxurious Health Spa comlete with holistic therapy, Treatment Rooms, Sauna & Steam Rooms, Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi and Gym.
