This evening depart the United States.

  • Day 2 Cabot Highlands - Castle Stuart Kingsmills Hotel

On arrival at the Edinburgh or Inverness Airport you will be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your transportation.

Your preferred arrival & departure airport options are dependent on your personal preferences. The closest airport to your first hotel/golf course is listed first. Some airports have direct transatlantic flights from US cities while others only offer service with connections through European hub cities. Our air department is available to talk through your air travel options.

Today play Cabot Highlands - Castle Stuart . Once Kingsbarns opened, developer Mark Parsinen began his search for an encore.  He found it in the Highlands overlooking the Moray Firth less than ten miles from Inverness where he and Gil Hanse fashioned another modern links classic.  The first three holes on each nine run away from the clubhouse and along the water. The remaining six on each side play on top of the escarpment offering spectacular views on your way back to the exceptional clubhouse.  Castle Stuart is a true links course in every sense with revetted natural bunkers, waste bunkers, rumpled fairways and run-up greens.  This three-time host to the Scottish Open complements any visit to the Highlands.

  • Day 3 Royal Dornoch

Golf today on Royal Dornoch .  An hour north of Inverness, along a crescent shaped stretch of the Dornoch Firth is a narrow strip of softly contoured dune land rising on two distinctive levels, providing just enough room for fairways framed by heather and gorse. It is here where Royal Dornoch was founded in 1877.  Old Tom Morris extended the layout to 18 holes in 1886 which has been modified over the years to produce a layout consistently ranked today among the world’s top 20.  MacKenzie & Ebert improved four holes and built a new 7th.  The club was Donald Ross’ famous inspiration for raised, domed greens.  A very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.

  • Day 4 Cabot Highlands - Old Petty

Today play Cabot Highlands - Old Petty . Designed by acclaimed golf architect Tom Doak, it is scheduled to officially open in 2026. Old Petty is an authentic celebration of Inverness’s rich history. Doak’s routing threads along a tidal estuary, bringing golfers even closer to the 400-year-old castle, and plays alongside Old Petty Church, which was built in 1839. The course’s logo honours the region’s iconic highland cow (“coo”) and rich colours.

  • Day 5 St Andrews - New Course Rusacks Hotel

Golf today on the New Course of St Andrews . Several holes at the oldest ‘new’ course in the world – the New Course opened in 1895 – have been carved through punitive gorse, so accurate tee shots are required. Set beside and in contrast to the Old Course, this Old Tom Morris design includes undulating fairways and puts on display a fine test of links golf. The 17th can be a make-or-break par-3 coming home. It measures 229 yards from the back tees, forcing golfers to combine power and precision to find the green in regulation.  The New is highly regarded among the locals because it is tighter and more defined than the Old.

  • Day 6 St Andrews - Old Course

Today challenge the Old Course of St Andrews , the ''Home of Golf''. The Old Course has played host to the greatest golfers and produced many of golf's most dramatic moments. Wide double fairways, seven extensive double greens, and a multitude of intimidating bunkers are just some of the unique features you will encounter. Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods each hoisted the Claret Jug here on two occasions. In 1927, Bobby Jones claimed The 62nd Open six years after taking four strokes to escape the Hill Bunker at the 11th and tearing up his scorecard!  No. 17, the “Road Hole”, is always an adventure as is negotiating the Valley of Sin at the short par-4 18th.

  • Day 7 Dumbarnie Links

Today play Dumbarnie Links .  Dumbarnie Links is one of Scotland’s newest links courses opened in 2020.  Located 9 miles south of St Andrews, the layout plays over 345 acres, part of the 5,000-acre Balcarres Estate held by Lord Anthony Balniel and his family since the 16th century.  Designed by Clive Clark, a member of the 1973 Great Britain and Ireland Ryder Cup team, the site is highlighted by a mile and a half of sea frontage featuring panoramic views over the Firth of Forth.  Its dual elevations, which are connected by a flowing escarpment, provide a number of elevated tees where holes play directly towards the sea. The design incorporates three potentially drivable par-4s along with several holes that present tempting risk/reward opportunities.  This course is designed to inspire rather than intimidate golfers.  Total yardage varies from 5,300 to 6,900 yards.

Frequently Asked Questions

To help you decide, we've compiled answers to common questions about our Custom Tours. Curious about itineraries, accommodations, or logistics? Our FAQs cover it all. For personalized advice, our Golf Travel Experts are ready to assist.

  • How far in advance should I book a trip to ensure best availability?

Our best advice is to decide on your preferred trip and confirm the dates as soon as possible, for everything is a component of availability. If you are traveling during high season, the golf courses can have significant demand and sooner we are able to submit your groups request for tee times and similarly to the hotels, the likelihood of securing your exact, preferred schedule is enhanced.

  • What is the optimum size of a group?

Every group has different dynamics but we believe that groups of 8 travelers are more preferred, for two reasons; (1) a group of 8 people remains small enough that everyone can interact with each other easily and (2) in terms of access to golf tee times and hotel arrangements we have found this size of group to be the easiest to accommodate. Of course, we are delighted to assist with groups of 2 to 150 travelers.

  • When is the best time to travel?

    It varies by destination. High season (for golf) is as follows;

    • Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, France & Italy
      April – October.
During the summer season you will enjoy the best possible chance of good weather. However Britain does experience changeable, unpredictable weather year round and it is therefore best to anticipate.

    • New Zealand & Australia
      September – April
Peak season is December - February/March

    • Spain, Portugal & South Africa
      January - December
South Africa is attractive all year round. Many prefer to visit from October - March. The summer months in the south of Spain and Portugal can be very hot and the condition of the courses deteriorates. Therefore the peak seasons in Spain and Portugal would be April – June & September – November.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?

Checks, MasterCard, VISA or wire transfer/ACH

  • Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly suggest and offer an attractive travel protection program. This information is described on the reservations forms.

  • When will I receive final travel information?

We ordinarily distribute final travel information 21 days in advance of departure. This includes all hotel contact details for your trip along with other pertinent information.

  • Can I ship my golf clubs ahead of me to my destination?

If you would prefer to send your golf clubs, and indeed any luggage in advance to your destination to avoid checked baggage hassles, PerryGolf is pleased to recommend Luggage Forward, the leading provider of doorstep to destination luggage delivery to over 200 countries worldwide. Upon your return, Luggage Forward can have your baggage picked up at your hotel, golf course or cruise port and delivered back home (or can send your clubs back if you are staying on to travel but the golfing portion of your trip is done).

As a client of PerryGolf you are entitled to a 10% discount on any Luggage Forward delivery. For price quotes or to book a delivery, visit www.luggageforward.com/perrygolf. To speak with a Forwarding Specialist, please call 866.416.7447 and remember to reference promo code PERRYGOLF when booking over the phone. Luggage Forward recommends booking at least a couple weeks prior to your trip to ensure you receive all available service options.

Please note: In order to complete an international delivery, you will need to provide travel documents as required by customs.

  • Can you assist with dinner suggestions?

PerryGolf provides a dining guide with the information you receive in your Final Travel Documents prior to travel.
