Formby Golf Club
Formby Ladies
The course is set amongst coastal sand dunes and pines, adjacent to Formby Golf Club, with tight fairways, heathery rough and well protected greens. It provides visitors with a varied challenge and rewards accurate golf with careful course management. While only 5,356 yards indigenous heather protects much of the rough and great caution is required at many holes. Several holes have elevated tees providing excellent views over much of the course and towards the Irish Sea.
Formby
Founded in 1884, Formby is a magnificent traditional links course of charm and elegance situated close to the shoreline of the Irish Sea. The course lies within the sandhills and pinewoods of Formby. The club has a distinguished record of staging many major Amateur events including the British Amateur Championship on four occasions and the Curtis Cup in 2004. Enjoy the ninth hole, a rugged par 4 where golfers start on an elevated tee that offers panoramic views of Liverpool Bay.
