The Salutation

The Salutation is a Grade I listed manor house in coast town of Sandwich, Kent. was built by Sir Edwin Lutyens at the turn of the last century for three wealthy brothers who sought a country retreat where they could take the coastal air. This exquisite house was eventually left to become derelict for some time until 2005 when the current owners lovingly and expertly renovated the entire property. The house stands in three and half acres of landscaped gardens designed by Lutyens and Jekyll. As well as the Main House accommodation is available within three buildings within the Salutation's grounds, namely the Queen Anne Knightrider House, The Coach House and the Gardener's Cottage. Each property has its own sitting room, dining room area and kitchen. The rooms can be taken on an individual basis yet they do lend themselves to private parties. The decor is elegant and indulgent with highly polished period pieces and a restful palette of creams and whites. Bathrooms are exquisite. At The Salutation you have the best of both worlds, the individuality and character of a private house coupled with the comfort and luxury found in the very best hotels. It is conveniently located only minutes from the championship links of Royal St Georges and Deal.
