The St Enodoc Hotel

With breathtaking views across the Camel Estuary towards Padstow, the St Enodoc Hotel is quietly tucked away in Rock on Cornwall's rugged north coast. In front is the estuary that becomes a summertime mecca for sailing and water sports. Behind lies the undulating landscape of the St Enodoc Golf Club with its two challenging links courses. The hotel interiors have been described as 'chic yet comfortable'. Original paintings decorate walls in most areas of the building. Cornish slate and granite are used to great effect in the hotel drawing room and reception as flooring and as part of a large raised fireplace. There is a small library for quiet reading and the recently opened 'Rock Room' is another sitting and relaxing area, which can either host sporting TV moments or private parties. There are 16 double rooms and 4 family suites. All have ensuite bathrooms. The Restaurant at the St Enodoc Hotel is known for its high quality of food and wine. Head Chef Rupert Brown lives nearby on a coastal farm and understands the importance of fantastic local produce. As a result, great emphasis is placed on the locally sourced seafood, meat, vegetables and herbs that form the basis of the menus. Bread is baked daily and the food is simple, fresh and appealing. The wine list too, has been carefully selected to include a good range of type and country of origin and even features a delicious Cornish sparkling wine.
