Located in the most prestigious area of the city, between the green expanse of Villa Borghese gardens and the historical reminiscences of Valle Giulia and the Borghese Gallery, the Aldrovandi is also close to the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. Privately managed, this grand hotel was refurbished in 2004 to render it one of the most sought-after addresses in Rome. With its own private park, outdoor pool and garden dining, the hotel is an elegant oasis of relax and guests can indulge in the amenities of a resort while staying in the center of the city. In addition to a revamped image, the award winning cuisine of the Michelin-starred Chef Alfonso Iaccarino, directly from Don Alfonso 1890 in Sorrento, is now at 'baby', the new poolside contemporary restaurant of the hotel. Iaccarino is one of the major names on the Italian culinary scene and the world-over undisputed genius of Mediterranean tastes. Architecturally designed to complement the surroundings of exotic garden and aquatic serenity, this new restaurant features windows overlooking the park, resulting in a luminous dining space. In the evenings, guests enjoy the glowing view of the flickering lights encircling the garden and pool. The result is leisurely glamour, an open, light and airy dining room with a soothing atmosphere. Guests can also make use of thecomplimentary hourly shuttle bus to and from Rome's shopping district. All of the rooms and suites in the hotel are uniquely furnished, keeping in line with their original 19th century splendour. Attention to detail is paramount: elegant, rich fabrics upholster and dress every window, chair, and bed distinctly, creating a sense of home.
