The course is both charming and spectacular. It lies among the gentle hills of the region around Verona, between the town of Romeo and Juliet and Lake Garda. The course is fairly irregular, with broad undulating fairways. There are not many water barriers, only two small lakes and a few ditches but some frequent gradients. Laid out in 1963, the Golf Club Verona remains open all year round, thanks to the nearness of Lake Garda which makes the local climate temperate.
