Set along the beautiful and scenic Donegal coastline, this links was founded by the Colonel B.J. Barton in 1891. The original links, which was a founding member of the Golf Union of Ireland, was designed by Charles Thompson. The well-regarded Pat Ruddy engineered a total renovation in 2000, adding length and intricacy to the links, was rated No. 22 in Ireland in 2017 by Golf Digest magazine. Former Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley has also been involved in renovation.
