This evening depart the United States.
Day 2:
On arrival at the Airport you will be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your transportation.

Today play the outstanding Cruden Bay (tbc). Those who make their way to the Highlands by way of Aberdeen will not want to miss Cruden Bay. This is an old-fashioned gem of a links with greens and fairways hidden between massive dune, driveable par fours, blind shots and of course gorgeous view of the North Sea. There is evidence that golf started here in the 18th century but it was in 1899 when the original layout by Old Tom Morris and Archie Simpson opened for play at 5,290 yards. The course was redesigned in 1926 which essentially stands today playing with more than an additional 1,000 yards. “Port Erroll”, the 193-yard 4th, played from an elevated tee to an elevated green, will get your attention. Cruden Bay is a regular among the world’s top 100 clubs.

Day 3: Royal Aberdeen
Play Royal Aberdeen (tbc). Founded in 1780, this is the sixth oldest golf club in the world. It has hosted The Senior Open won by Tom Watson and the Scottish Open won by Justin Rose. It is a tale of two nines. The outward holes are recognized as nine of the best pure links in the game. The first plays from beside the clubhouse directly to the North Sea. The next eight run parallel to the shore through a valley of dunes. The inward nine play on high ground where the full force of the wind regularly wreaks havoc. Eighteen is a serious par four requiring two of you best to simply reach the green.

Day 4: Trump International
Today play the Trump International Golf Links (tbc). Imagine Dr. Martin Hawtree’s delight, the third generation golf course architect with many achievement to his credit including his service as the R&A’s go-to for modifying Open venues, when he was chosen to design the newest American-inspired golf course in Scotland this century along a spectacular 3-mile stretch of North Sea coastline with almost unlimited resources. Trump International Golf Links may represent his finest hour. The round combines high ground with striking views before descending into secluded valleys between monstrous dunes. There are five tees on every hole, except the two that have seven. There are eighteen fully revetted bunkers on the 18th! It is a sight to behold.

Day 5: Carnoustie
Today play Carnoustie (tbc). The first record of golf played on this links land dates to 1527. In 1842, a 10-hole course was designed by Alan Robertson followed by an 18-hole course by Old Tom Morris in 1857. James Braid extended the layout in 1926 which is essentially the links found today. While it is relatively flat, Carnoustie is exposed to the elements. A combination of length and accuracy are required as golfers face narrow corridors from the tee while approach shots demand precision to greens heavily guarded by steep bunkers and burns. Arguably the toughest finishing holes in championship golf are found here highlighted by the par-4, 476 yard 14th and the 245 yard par-3 16th. Ben Hogan won The 82nd Open at Carnoustie in 1953. Tom Watson and Gary Player also hoisted the Claret Jug here as has Padraig Harrington and mostly recently Francesco Molinari in 2018.

Day 6: Muirfield
Golf today on Muirfield (tbc), home to The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, is among the most treasured in the game. Formed in 1744, is the world’s oldest documented golf club. It is where the original Rules of Golf were written. It has hosted The Open on more than a dozen occasions. Old Tom Morris redesigned it in 1891 as a 16-hole layout followed by the addition of two more holes several months later. In 1928, Harry S. Colt and Tim Simpson made alterations that are credited with making this the masterpiece is it today. Most courses of the day were routed nine holes out and nine back. Not Muirfield. Its outward nine runs clockwise around the perimeter of the property while the inward nine runs counter-clockwise inside the outward. This utterly unique layout produces play into constantly changing wind conditions.

Day 7: North Berwick
Play today at North Berwick (tbc). Like St Andrews, this links starts and finishes in town. Golf was played in the area since at least 1672 but the club was formed in 1832 making it the thirteenth oldest in the game. It came to be in the same way as so many of the early clubs -- in stages. First it was a 6-hole layout, then a 7, then a 10 which included the famous Redan hole, then in 1877 a full 18. A renovation lengthened the course in 1895 then again in 1932. The course is a delight for many reasons not the least of which is how you are challenged by stonewalls, deep bunkers, the usual humps, hollows and burns without having to fight brutal rough. The course is normally set up to play in around 3 hours so the rough is kept playable.
