Overnight: Bodysgallen Hall & Spa: Main Hall Superior Room - including Welsh breakfast

Day 3

Today play Conwy (tbc). Founded in 1890, Conwy is one of Wales foremost championship courses. The course lies at the mouth of the River Conwy and is a flat links layout allowing for easy walking as it winds it way through the sand hills and gorse. A spectacular setting between mountain, castle, river and sea. Please note a very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Expert.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Visit Bodnant Gardens, one of the most beautiful gardens in the British Isles, spanning some 80 acres and is situated above the River Conwy on ground sloping towards the west and looking across the valley towards the Snowdonia range. The upper garden around Bodnant Hall consists of the terraced gardens and informal lawns shaded by trees. The lower portion, known as the "Dell" is formed by the valley of the River Hiraethlyn and contains the Wild garden. Onwards to Conwy Castle, a gritty dark stoned fortress commanding a rock above the Conwy Estuary. Conwy was constructed by the English monarch Edward I between 1283 and 1289 as one of the key fortresses in his 'iron ring' of castles to contain the Welsh, was built to prompt such a humbling reaction. The views from the battlements are breathtaking looking out across mountains. It is from these battlements that visitors can best appreciate Conwy's other great glory, its ring of town walls. Conwy is the classic walled town. Its circuit of walls, over three quarters of a mile long and guarded by no less than 22 towers, is one of the finest in the World.

Overnight: Bodysgallen Hall & Spa: Main Hall Superior Room - including Welsh breakfast.

Day 4

Sightseeing Suggestion: Take a tour to Caernarfon. Dominated by the most imposing and complete of Edward I's castles, with its banded walls and angled towers on the sea front. Enjoy a visit to the old town, still ringed by the almost intact walls. Continue with a trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Trains  travel to the Summit of Snowdon, which at 3,560ft (1085m) is the highest mountain in England and Wales. Your journey begins at Llanberis Station and continues across an impressive viaduct, past a spectacular waterfall cascading through an ancient oak forest, before entering open countryside dotted with long abandoned dwellings and grazing sheep. On fine days the views from the train as you are carried along a spectacular ridge towards the Summit are breathtaking.

Overnight: Hotel Portmeirion: Hotel Room - including Welsh breakfast.

Day 5

Today play Royal St David's (tbc), set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with the rugged mountains of Snowdonia and Harlech Castle. While the course is surprisingly flat, it is proven to be one of the most difficult links in Britain with a strict par of 69. Only twice do successive holes proceed in the same direction. Please note a very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Expert.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Visit the wonderful Portmeirion Village, developed by Clough Williams-Ellis on his own private peninsula on the Coast of Snowdonia. His lifelong concern was with Architecture, Landscape Design, the protection of Rural Wales and Conservation. The village has several shops and restaurants and is surrounded by the Gwyllt sub-tropical gardens and woodlands and miles of sandy beaches. Continue to Harlech Castle, spectacularly perched out on a rock, keeping a watchful eye over Snowdonia. The English monarch Edward I built Harlech in the late 13th century to fulfill this very role. It was one of the most formidable of his 'iron ring' of fortresses.

Overnight: Hotel Portmeirion: Hotel Room - including Welsh breakfast

Day 6

Make the journey south. Stopping at Brecon, traditional Mid Wales market town nestling in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the County of Powys. This magical spot at the confluence of two rivers, the Usk and the Honddu has always been a popular destination offering visitors spectacular scenery and leisure activities.

Overnight: The St.David's Hotel & Spa: Executive Room - including Welsh breakfast.

Day 7

Play today at Pennard (tbc), founded around the turn of the century, and originally laid out by James Braid, Pennard has long enjoyed the reputation as 'Wales best kept golfing secret'. Tom Doak, a leading American golf course architect has described it in his book 'The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses' as 'One of my all time favourites' adding 'the site is one of the most spectacular I've ever seen'. Its undulating fairways and greens will give you a fair test of your golfing skills. Pennard is not a long course, but nonetheless provides a stern challenge.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Head west to the Gower Peninsular with its golden sandy beaches, stunning coastline and prehistoric wonders. Visit the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea with an opportunity to glimpse at the life and work of Wales' most celebrated poet. Then we head onto Gower, Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With fantastic views, coastal path walks, beach walks, ancient stone-age discoveries and plenty of fresh air.

Overnight: The St.David's Hotel & Spa: Executive Room - including Welsh breakfast.

Day 8

Golf today on Royal Porthcawl (tbc). A unique mixture of classic links and heathland holes, played on lush springy turf. Porthcawl has panoramic views over the Bristol Channel from every hole. Although Porthcawl has never held the Open it has held numerous top Amateur events including the Walker Cup, which featured Tiger Woods in the US team. It is Wales only venue in the top 100 courses in the world.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Visit Tredegar House, located on the outskirts of Newport and easily accessible off the M4 motorway, the 17th-century Tredegar House is one of the architectural wonders of Wales. Its 36 hectares/90 acres of award-winning gardens and parkland include formal areas and wide expanses of grassland. The Ancestral home of the Morgan family and later the Lord Tredegars. The Victorians re-modelled the original seventeenth century house so that they wouldn't have to receive guests straight into the Great Hall. They abandoned the main entrance, and turned the house on its side, building this new entrance in around 1850.

Overnight: The St.David's Hotel & Spa: Executive Room - including Welsh breakfast.

Day 9

Depart the United Kingdom from the Cardiff, Bristol or London Heathrow Airport.
