Azamara Onward, which serves as our perfect floating boutique hotel and clubhouse, is a small-sized luxury vessel nimble enough to access smaller ports yet large enough to provide every amenity you would expect, from a choice of fine dining and live entertainment, to a well-equipped gym and full-service spa. Forty-six suites are available with English butler style service which routinely book early. Sailing schedules often include extended stays in port plus the occasional overnight which allows for a truly immersive experience. Better still, these cruises are inclusive of a selection of beers, spirits, soft drinks, bottled water, specialty coffees plus wine with lunch and dinner along with gratuities for housekeeping, dining and bar staff. Azamara also proudly boasts two unique signature events on each cruise – an AzAmazing Evening℠ and the White Night party – complimentary to all guests and consistently well received.

Every aspect of the golf program is fully managed by PerryGolf staff onboard and ashore. Your clubs will be ready and waiting at each venue. Tee times and pairings arranged and posted in advance. A convenient transportation schedule affords suitable time to warm up at the range, and to make the almost inevitable pro shop merchandise purchase. Carts are always included, subject to availability. A friendly competition is staged at a selected course, with prizes awarded at our farewell gathering. A snack lunch is included on-course plus an open bar operates in the clubhouse at the conclusion of the round. Our typical guest list which brings together like-minded individuals generally numbers between 40 and 50, with new friendships invariably formed during each cruise. Many guests are golfing couples but an equal number are golfers travelling with a non-golfing spouse. Specially arranged onboard golf group social functions, to which all accompanying non-golfing spouses are most warmly welcomed, further enhances the club-like environment. The award winning Azamara Shore Excursions® program, offering a wide variety of off ship excursions, also caters beautifully to our non-golfing guests during days when our golfing excursions are underway.

The “2024 Baltic Sea Golf Cruise” is a genuinely full-featured vacation and a special opportunity to enjoy yourself in the company of like-minded new friends!

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 12, MONDAY: GDANSK, POLAND (2:00PM / IN PORT)

Enjoy a leisurely morning at sea with early afternoon arrival into Gdansk, Poland.

Gdansk is a 1,000-year-old port city on the Baltic coast of Poland, which, together with the city of Gdynia and the town of Sopot, makes up the metropolitan area Trójmiasto, “the Tricity”. Home to the Westerplatte, where World War II broke out in 1939, Gdansk was mostly destroyed during the war, but many impressive sights remain. Wander through cobblestone streets and mazes of red-brick buildings to discover the Upland Gate, St. Mary’s Church, the medieval Gdansk Crane or the stunning façade of the Great Arsenal. Explore treasures of “Baltic Gold” at the Amber Museum or collections of paintings, fabrics, and furniture at the National Museum, housed in a former Franciscan monastery. Relax at a beer garden or restaurant and take in the beautiful coastline. Make your way to Gdynia, home of the Polish navy, to feast on seafood or a visit to a floating museum in the form of two ships – Dar Pomorza and Blyskawica.

Overnight: In Port - Gdansk, Poland

AUGUST 13, TUESDAY: GDANSK, POLAND (IN PORT / 8:00PM)

GOLF: Today play Sand Valley, Poland’s number one course, and ranked in Europe’s top 100. Set in a large expanse of Polish countryside, it has a decidedly links feel, and offers wide rumbling fairways, vast waste bunkers, and challenging green sites that combine for an exciting and memorable round of golf.

Enjoy Gdansk on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 14, WEDNESDAY: KLAIPEDA, LITHUANIA (7:30AM / 2:00PM)

Walk the cobblestoned Old Town in Klaipėda and you’ll see its German heritage in the half-timbered architecture, beginning at Theatre Square. The old warehouses by the Dane River are now pubs and restaurants - try a traditional Lithuanian lunch of fish stew with warm black bread. There’s a museum in the remnants of Memelburg Castle with fascinating photos from WWII, the Blacksmith Museum with intriguing iron works, and the Clock Museum with, well, clocks. Klaipėda, close to the Curonian Spit, has some charming seaside resorts to explore. German novelist Thomas Mann had his summerhouse in Nida; it’s now a museum. The Ethnographic Fisherman’s Farmstead is an amazing experience - old fishing vessels and 19th century buildings take you back to the life of a fisherman two centuries ago. Visit the quaint village of Palanga with miles of beautiful beaches backed by dunes and pine forests.

Enjoy Klaipeda  on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 15, THURSDAY: RIGA, LATVIA (8:00PM / 10:00PM)

GOLF: Today play at Jurmala Golf Club. Built under the watchful guidance of Nicklaus Design, Jurmala Golf Club opened in 2018 and takes full advantage of the natural beauty & surroundings. It is located between the capital city of Riga and the resort town of Jurmala. Given the design pedigree, it provides a challenging, yet enjoyable experience for players of all abilities.

SIGHTSEEING: Riga’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, its winding, wobbly lanes are beautiful to wander through. But the most outstanding are the avenues of art nouveau buildings some, with their adornments of femmes fatales and fiendish gargoyles, are so amazing you can’t pass without stopping. The Museum of the Occupation is fascinating, haunting in parts. And the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum on lake Jugla is remarkable: traditional wooden buildings, brought from all over the country, set up to look like villages from the 18th & 19th centuries. Recently Riga also became a European Capital for Culture and it is well deserved. The restored 18th-century National Opera House is worthy of a whole evening. The new National Library, designed by Latvian architect Gunnar Birkerts, is a huge glass and steel mountain. And don’t miss an organ recital in The Dome - the organ one of the largest in Europe.

Enjoy Riga on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 16, FRIDAY: AT SEA

Today it’s time to relax and reset. Make your reservations early for The Sanctum Spa, a world-class wellness facility offering a full range of health, beauty and restorative treatments. Complimentary fitness and nutrition classes are available along with a fully equipped gym on Deck 9 offering magnificent sea views. There’s room for everyone on the Pool Deck both in and out of the sun. Service to your lounge chair is available from The Pool Bar where the attentive staff is always ready to offer an inclusive cocktail, beer, bottled water, soft drink or fresh towel. The Patio restaurant serves casual fare during the day then completely transforms itself into a sit-down al fresco dining experience at night with table linens and candles. Elegant specialty dining is available for beef at Prime C and Italian at AqualinaWindows Café serves casual buffet dining with every imaginable choice indoors and out at the sensational Sunset Bar.

What a way to spend a day!

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 17, SATURDAY: TALLINN, ESTONIA (8:00AM / 10:00PM)

GOLF: Estonian Golf & Country Club opened in 2005 as part of the prestigious European Tour Properties network, and quickly and rightfully took its place in Golf World Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 European Courses, a spectacular achievement for a venue in an emerging golf nation.  Its Sea Course hosted the Omega Mission Hills World Cup European Qualifier in both 2009 and 2011, with the International European Seniors Championship following in 2013 and the European Ladies' Amateur Championship in 2014.  Locals say that when God created the coastal land of the Estonian Golf & Country Club, he must have intended it to be a golf course as it winds its way so harmoniously along the Baltic Coast and the Jägala River delta.

SIGHTSEEING: Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia, being home to one third of the country’s population. Despite occupation at one time or another by each of its near neighbors, Tallinn is independent-minded and has creative ways of showing it - consider the Singing Revolution of 1988, the massive musical demonstration against Soviet rule that set Estonia on the path to independence. Visit St. Olav's Church, once the tallest building in the world, at least until 1625. Then pull up a chair at one of the cafés in the charming town square, heart of the city for 800 years. After your coffee, explore St. Catherine's Passage, a quaint old lane, home to a collection of craft workshops, and check out the secret 17th C. tunnel system.

Enjoy Tallinn on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 18, SUNDAY: KOTKA, FINLAND (8:00AM / 8:00PM)

Defined by the Baltic Sea and surrounding archipelago, Kotka is a picturesque town with a rich maritime tradition. It is home to the Maritime Museum of Finland and the Maretarium, and the Kymijoki River flowing through it is renowned for having the best salmon fishing in southern Finland, and for Langinkoski, the old Imperial Fishing Lodge located upstream. The most popular activities here are cruises around the archipelago, rafting and kayaking through the rapids of the Kymijoki, sailing and fishing. Travelers should also drop into the Finnish Wooden Boat Centre, where they can learn all about the rich heritage of wooden boat construction and use in Finland down through the years, and see boats being worked on by skilled craftsmen.

Enjoy Kotka on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 19, MONDAY: HELSINKI, FINLAND (8:00AM / 8:00PM)

GOLF: Hirsala Golf Club is located just a short drive to the west of Helsinki and is set on a beautifully rolling piece of classic Finnish forest land. The golf course opened in 2007, was quickly rated by Golf Digest as amongst the best golf courses in the country, and in 2015 it had the honor of hosting the Finnish Open. The club also takes great pride in its GEO (Golf Environment Organization) certification, recognizing the contribution it makes to preserving the biodiversity and maximizing the ecological value of the land and the living ecosystem which depends on it.

SIGHTSEEING: Helsinki is a successful blend of traditional and modern architecture and design, interwoven with the beauty of nature, and a few quirky, purely Finnish touches - such as a church built inside a giant chunk of granite, and a venue that is a unique combination of café, restaurant, bar, laundromat, and sauna. Classic Russian onion-domed churches share the stage with Nordic minimalism, and a large concentration of Art Nouveau buildings. Prominent globally in the field of technology, Finland has also recently topped the charts as having the world's best educational systems.

Enjoy Helsinki on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 20, TUESDAY: MARIEHAMN, FINLAND (8:00AM / 5:00PM)

Formerly part of the Russian Empire (and named by Alexander II after the Empress Maria), Mariehamn, the capital of Aland, sits on an archipelago of over 6,500 islands at the entrance to the beautiful Gulf of Bothnia. Mariehamn’s scenic harbors, marinas, greenery, charming wooden houses, and wide, straight streets make it the perfect place to explore on foot. Be sure to stroll the Esplanade, an avenue accented with the aroma of lime trees stretching from east to west—harbor to harbor—across the peninsula. For a faster pace, cruise the many paths and parks on a bike, then stop to savor the local specialty, Aland fish soup, at one of many cozy cafes. Local game and lamb dishes are also popular, and the surrounding countryside means most cuisine is made with fresh ingredients. (Restaurants and cafes proudly import little more than coffee, tea, and pepper.) Unlike any of the other capitals on the Baltic Sea, Mariehamn is much smaller, cozier, and home to a hospitable islander lifestyle and a proud maritime cultural history. Its southern location also makes it the warmest place in Finland, so in the summer, wearing your sunglasses at night (while soaking up the midnight sun) is a must.

Enjoy Mariehamn  on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

Overnight: At Sea

AUGUST 21, WEDNESDAY: STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN (8:00AM / IN PORT)

GOLF:  Bro Hof Slott Stadium Course has built a reputation as one of the best golf courses in the world. Shortly after opening in 2007 the course which sits on spectacular grounds on the edge of Lake Mälaren was judged to be Sweden’s best. It now ranks 54th in Golf World’s top 100 worldwide list and is ranked the second best in Europe outside The British Isles. The Stadium Course is a “lakeside course” and a fabulous experience for any golfer.

SIGHTSEEING: Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic center of Sweden. It sports an appealing mix of modern Scandinavian architecture and fairy tale palaces, watched over by a Board of Beauty, responsible for preserving the city. One third of its area is devoted to green space, and another third to waterways, providing lots of room to breathe. Gamla Stan is the oldest section, retaining the medieval layout of narrow meandering paths. For the contemporary take there's Sodermalm, known trendily as SoFo, with welcoming restaurants and pubs, specialty shops and boutiques. Stieg Larsson fans hang out here, as it is the area of the city where most action in the Millennium novels takes place.

Enjoy Stockholm on your own or via Azamara Shore Excursions®.

AUGUST 22, THURSDAY: STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN (IN PORT / DISEMBARK AT 9:00AM)

Disembark Azamara Onward at 9:00AM.

Important Information

Golf Handicap Limit: The golf courses we play around the world offer varying challenges. Players often require to be of a certain standard to properly and fully experience them in the company of likeminded fellow golfers. We therefore set a maximum permitted golf handicap to participate on our tours and cruises; The maximums are 28 for men and 36 for ladies.

Golf Courses: The included list may be subject to change in the event of any club accepting any conflicting national or international event, or for any other reason. Should such a situation occur, PerryGolf will endeavour to book a course of comparable standard, and all booked guests would be notified of the change and replacement venue at the earliest opportunity.

Transfers: No transfers are included to or from the ship at arrival/departure airports.
