Ireland: The Old Head Golf Links
Located in the southwest corner of the country in the historical town of Kinsale lies a diamond of land that juts three miles into the Atlantic Ocean. The Town of Kinsale
Kinsale is an excellent town to stop by on your tour of the Southwest of Ireland. With only a 20 minute drive to Old Head and with several restaurants offering excellent seafood dining, e.g. Jim Edwards and Man Friday, you are spoiled for choice.
Exciting news for next year is that the Actons Hotel is currently undergoing a massive refurbishment and changing to a small boutique hotel – an ideal addition to the area. Further details to follow at the start of 2013.

A recent trip to Southern Ireland allowed me a short stay in Kinsale, Co.Cork. I opted to dine at Crackpots on Cork Street and wanted to tell you a bit about it.
It is a small, but incredibly warm and inviting restaurant with a twist…it is also a working pottery with many fine ceramics and paintings for sale on site. The restaurant offers an ever-changing menu which flows with the seasons meaning produce is always fresh and caters for all predilections.
Many of PerryGolf’s clients who are traveling to South West Ireland opt to play Old Head Golf Links, and with less than a 30 minute drive to Crackpots, I thoroughly recommend you consider finishing off your day with dinner there.
