For all of Spain’s charm and widespread appeal, perhaps golf has received a short shrift from casual observers in discussions covering the nation’s allure. Like a hidden diamond in a showcase of gems, the golf courses are eclectic, entertaining and enjoyable, offering a variety of styles from an outstanding collection of architects.
I recently visited the Costa Blanca in Spain and I have to say that the weather and the condition of the golf courses were both ideal. We played 3 rounds of golf while I was there and found the greens to be fast and true; I’d have struggled to find a better lie on each of the fairways – I only wish I could have hit more of them!
If you’re thinking of planning your next golf vacation to sunny Spain; here’s a substantiation of why we think it would greatly add to your experience to stop off at Finca Cortesin.
Located in the centre of the Costa del Sol (between Marbella and Sotogrande) you’ll find the Finca Cortesin community; untouched and unaffected by real estate developments and surrounded only by beautiful greenery.
Finca Cortesin is hosting next year’s Volvo World Match Play Championship – which was previously held at Wentworth Club.
