Airline News: United Flies Non-Stop Chicago to Edinburgh

United Airlines has just announced its new service between Edinburgh and Chicago, making it the only non-stop flight between the two destinations.  These flights are to begin May 22, next summer.


United’s new 2014 flight service is:

  • To operate 5x weekly between May 23 and June 12
  • To operate daily between June 13 and September 2
  • To operate 4x weekly between September 3 and October 6

United Airlines managing director of sales for the UK and Ireland – Bob Schumacher – went on to say,

Having recently celebrated 15 years of operations in Scotland, we’re delighted to expand our schedule with seasonal non-stop service to Chicago, United’s home town…Next year’s Homecoming promotion and Ryder Cup at Gleneagles make it the ideal time to launch these flights, which will offer our customers an increased range of travel choices and opportunities.
