Sydney
Sydney - Wrapped around its majestic harbour,
Sydney is the vibrant, cosmopolitan, gateway to Australia. With
nearly 4 million people, Sydney is Australia's largest city,
and it’s best according to the locals. Sydneysiders love
their city; Sydney is a city in a hurry. Sydney has the tallest
buildings, the most expensive real estate, and the finest beaches.
Sydney Harbour is one of nature's extraordinary creations. With
its small bays and inlets crowned by the billowing sails of
the Opera House, it truly is a sight to behold. The Sydney metropolitan
area also boasts over 40 spectacular beaches, including the
famed Bondi Beach.
Local Places of Interest, Activities and Tours of the Surrounding
Areas
Cruise on Sydney Harbour and a Tour through the Sydney
Opera House - Commence a Highlights Cruise on Sydney
Harbour is commonly referred to as the most beautiful natural
harbour in the world. A large harbour with many bays, inlets
and secondary harbours, it has not been built out like many
of the world's great harbours. Although there are exclusive
homes dotted around the water's edge, there are large tracts
of parklands, reserves and gardens that balance the harbour
environmentally. At completion of Cruise walk to the Sydney
Opera House. Join a tour through the Opera House, one of the
architectural master pieces of the century. Designed, by the
Danish Architect, Jorn Utzon. The first performance was in the
Opera Theatre in 1973. The Opera House would be more aptly named
the Sydney Performing Arts Centre as most evenings its theatres
offer a combination of world class music, dance, and drama and
opera performances. This 45-minute tour offers the opportunity
to experience the Sydney Opera House in its daily operation,
and, learn about the fascinating history and architecture. At
the completion of the tour, walk to the hotel. Operates Daily.
Eco Tour to the Blue Mountains - This Eco tour
visits places that the normal tourist does not see. This fantastic
Ecotour begins at your hotel. We make our way to the Great Dividing
Range of Australia. It is here we leave the ‘average’
Blue Mountains tourist behind & enter the National Park
to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.
We visit an ancient Aboriginal site & outstanding lookouts;
examine rock formations & the unusual plants & wildlife
that abound the area. From the quaint little village of Leura
we skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba where you will find
yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley (Australia’s
Grand Canyon) & the Three Sisters. We enjoy a delicious
barbeque lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines
with a cheese platter under the canopy of the Australian bush.
Before returning to Sydney we drop into a hidden valley where
we roam the area, seeking out the many kangaroos that graze
in the wild (conditions permitting). Reluctantly we leave the
National Park passing through the Olympic 2000 site. Operates
Daily with a minimum of 2 passengers.
Morning Wildlife Tour - Join an Australian
Pacific Coach for a tour to a Koala Park to get up close and
personal with your favourite Australian animals. Have your photo
taken with a cuddly koala (at own expense)and walk through the
Koala enclosure to see these wonderful animals asleep... Feed
the kangaroos and the wallabies; see wombats, echidnas and goannas.
