Having grown up playing golf in Scotland I was too young to realize and appreciate that not all golf courses were as unique, interesting and as integrated with the surrounding land as links courses. Scotland is justifiably famous for the quality and diversity of its golf courses. Golf is woven throughout Scottish society. Participants in the Open Championship universally describe Scottish golf spectators as the most knowledgeable in the world and all of these factors contribute to make golfing in Scotland a truly unparalleled experience.
