It's been a busy
and interesting season in the British Isles this summer.
Obviously, the big story was at Muirfield (Muirfield
and the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers is
profiled in depth in the February 2002 Advisor) where
Ernie Els stopped Tiger's quest for the modern Grand
Slam in dramatic fashion. Greg Norman has been playing
with renewed interest this season and his eagerly
anticipated Doonbeg Course on the west coast of Ireland,
which officially opened in July, is sure to jump to
everyone's 'must play' list, and is highlighted this
Advisor. Now all eyes will turn to the Ryder Cup as
international golf takes center stage in the sporting
world.
Our new PerryGolf Grand Touring 2003 Portfolio is
out. There are three new cruise itineraries for the
coming season that are detailed later in the Advisor
and on the website,
www.PerryGolf.com.
The Scotland by Sea program also features an extension
to the 2003 Open Championship at Royal St. George's.
The 2003 season is already shaping up to be back at
record levels, and early booking is encouraged for
the most popular courses. Of course some of the year's
best weather in the British Isles is found in the
Fall and it's not too late to schedule a few rounds
on the linksland this year.
For those days when the course is closed or for long
plane flights across the Pond, the Advisor has some
excellent reading choices.
As always, we hope you enjoy and would love to hear
from you.
