MEMO FROM HELENSBURGH
We are now fully moving into the 2001
season with many clients already having visited the
British Isles, and returned home with their "links
golf" buzz for the year. For your transportation convenience
we have again expanded our fleet of VIP Coaches and
will have a total of NINE available this season for
our clients. As in previous years we have taken the
off-season to incorporate many of our clients suggestions
into the design of our vehicles, constantly trying
to improve both their comfort and functionality. One
minor touch is our naming of each vehicle after a
club which we consider to embody the finest aspects
of golf in the British Isles -- clubs like Machrihanish
in Scotland, Ballyliffin in Ireland and Saunton in
England.
Our first "Grand Touring" program this
year, which all of the staff are eagerly looking forward
to, is our Scottish Highlands Golf Cruise at the end
of May onboard the Lord of the Glens. Great golf courses,
a marvellous little ship, and a complete traversing
of Scotland via the beautiful Caledonian Canal in
the Scottish Highlands.
The amateur team from Great Britain
& Ireland defends the Walker Cup this August at Ocean
Forest GC on Sea Island, GA. Included in this Advisor
is a review of Gordon Simmonds' complete history of
the Walker Cup, a great addition to any avid golfer's
library.
With the addition of Hoylake (Royal
Liverpool) back into the Open Championship Rota, and
The Open this year at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, it
is a great time to plan a golf itinerary to the Lancashire
Coast and its other gems Royal Birkdale, also an Open
Championship venue, Hillside, Southport and Ainsdale,
Formby, West Lancashire and Wallasey.
