- Good news for frequent flyers. Continental is installing new BusinessFirst seats
on its Boeing 777 fleet that feature design improvements and provide more space
and comfort for BusinessFirst customers. At 22 inches, the new seat is wider than
any other competing business class seat in the industry, and as wide as most first
class international seats. The seats offer a deeper recline, measuring 170 degrees
from seat cushion to seat back and provides 6 1/2 feet of sleeping space. In addition
to Glasgow, Continental also has convenient service to Shannon and Dublin from

- The Killarney Park Hotel is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in style by being
named as Georgina Campbell's Jameson Guide Hotel of the Year 2002. Owned by locals
Padraig and Janet Treacy, the hotel, which features 75 classically designed guest

Course at the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club will not be closing for renovations
during the 2002 season as previously reported... Druids Glen Golf Club is offering
a limited number of on-course residential apartments for sale. Druids Glen was
voted the European Golf Course of the Year in 2001...The SandHouse Hotel, on Rossnowlagh
Beach in the North West of Ireland is currently undergoing major refurbishment.
The 4 star property, which is an ideal base when golfing at Donegal and Rosses
Point, will reopen around Easter 2002 and will have 15 new bedrooms, and a health
suite.

- The Westin Turnberry Resort will now have 45 holes of unsurpassed links golf
as the new nine-hole Arran Academy Course at the Colin Montgomerie Links Golf
Academy opened on April 1st. The course was specially designed by Colin Montgomerie
and Donald Steel to give Colin's team of P.G A. Professionals in the academy the
opportunity to pass on tips about links golf and teach effective course management.
The nine completely new holes are a mixture of par
4's and par 3's that will provide a challenge for the novice and scratch golfer
alike. Hotel guests may book onto the new Arran course at any time, regardless
if they are academy students.....From the Marine Hotel, Troon, good news for sore
golfing muscles as they have added new staff in their Bodysense Health and Fitness
Club. The new club manager is Fraser Kennedy, a former player for Scotland International
Under 21 Rugby, Kennedy is well acquainted with taking care of ailing athletes.
The Hotel was recently voted by First Options clients as one of the top three
best Hotel Restaurants in the United Kingdom. And the Hotel has also announced
plans for a complete refurbishment in time for the 2004 Open Championship at Royal
Troon, which the Marine Hotel overlooks .. .For
after round libations, the bar at the St Andrews Golf Hotel is being refurbished
with a new layout. Ma Bell's one of the more popular late night pubs has also
been refurbished and reopened in February. The PerryGolf Penthouse at the St Andrews
Golf Hotel is ready for the season. The third floor which consists of 4 twin/double
rooms has been completely refurbished. A living area, exclusively for guests of
the entire floor has also been created. It is perfect for groups of eight, especially
combined with use of the VIP Coach, who will enjoy added amenities similar to
those currently found at the 'PerryGolf Lodges at Turnberry'... The Golf Academy
and new putting green at Craigelaw, near Muirfield, will open in May... Golf View
Hotel, Nairn has opened two family rooms situated at the rear of the hotel..Nearby
