Spain's great southern city of Seville has a romantic past and a rich Moorish heritage. The city is the regional capital of Andalucia. Seville has a wonderful collection of historical sights, including its Cathedral, which is the largest Gothic building in the world. Having been occupied by the Moors for 500 years it also has a legacy left by the Arab kings in the form of the Alcazar, a palace-fortress that is regarded as one of the finest existing examples of Moorish architecture. Visitors might also enjoy flamenco, tapas, and bull-fighting. The soul of the city is best epitomised during its two passion-filled grand festivals, the Semana Santa, held the week before Easter, and the Feria de Abril, held two weeks after Easter Sunday.

Day 5

This morning drive from Marbella into the Andalusian Mountains (1hr) for a visit to Rhonda. One of the most spectacularly located cities in Spain. Ronda sits on a massive rocky outcrop, straddling a deep 330ft gorge. The New Bridge (Puente Nuevo) separates the old and the new Ronda. On the south side perches a classic Moorish city of cobbled alleys, window grilles and dazzling whitewash, while in the newer town lies ''El Mercadillo'' one of the oldest bullrings in Spain. Be sure to visit the Palacio Mondragon with its arcaded patio adorned with original mosaics and the Puente Nuevo where you can get inside the bridge and learn of its impressive construction and history.

After visiting Rhonda check in to your hotel where you can have lunch after which the golfers will be taken to Sotogrande.

Play Sotogrande Old, one of the most recognized clubs on the Costa del Sol, having opended in 1964, it is maintained in immaculate condition and has long been considered one of the top courses in continental Europe.

Day 6

Play Marbella Club Golf Resort. Designed by Dave Thomas the course is situated amidst the hills of Benahavis, and provides magnificent views of Gibraltar, the African Coastline and the surrounding mountains. The 18 holes measure in excess of 6,000 metres and comprise water features and demanding bunkers, a trademark of the course designer, encouraging players to search for the most advantageous approach shot.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Visit Gibraltar, famous worldwide for its Dramatic Rock. It is located in a strategic position at the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. It overlooks the Straits of Gibraltar and is linked to Spain by a narrow isthmus. Gibraltar is imposing but small. It measures less than six square kilometres in total. It is inhabited by around 30,000 people made up of Gibraltarians, British, Moroccans, Indians and Spanish. There is also a colony of the famous apes, the only ones in Europe to run free in a semi-wild state. Gibraltar is a British self-governing colony and a member of the European Union by virtue of Britain's membership.

Make your way to your chosen golf course. 40 mins

Play San Roque Old. Designed by Dave Thomas with bunkers redesigned by Seve Ballesteros, The Old Course is rated amongst the finest in Europe, with tight sloping fairways lined by mature cork oak trees, demanding straight accurate driving. Strategic bunker placement and deceptive water hazards threaten all but the most precise approach shots. The greens are fast and contoured and the setting provides stunning mountain views.

Day 8

Make your way to La Reserva. 30 mins

Today play La Reserva. The newest addition to the courses of Sotogrande. Designed by Cabell Robinson and opened in the autumn of 2003 to outstanding reviews. The course lies within the Sotogrande complex to the north of Valderrama. It can stretch to over 7,000 yards when played from the back tees. Four large lakes dominate much of the landscape and provide hazards.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Casares is a picture postcard village with a population of just three thousand and the view from the approach is definitely worth a photo. There is something very special about the sight of Casares that causes the visitor to park the car and simply stare or take a photo. Easily accessed from the coast road by turning inland at Km.147 (between Estepona and Sabinillas) near Torre de la Sal and head inland for 15 km. The scenery is picturesque, suddenly you turn a bend in the road, and are treated to a spectacular view of the village with its medieval fortress. Park the car and climb down one of the footpaths that lead into the village and the main square. Those wanting a rewarding experience will follow the narrow street adjacent to the Virgin del Rosario chapel keep climbing and eventually you will have reached the top of the town of some 1,400 feet above sea level. There is an old fortress here and a derelict church, as well as a marvelous view overlooking the rooftops of the village. Watch for peregrine falcons and kestrels and, on a clear day, you will be able to spy on the African coast with the Rock of Gibraltar looming craggily in the foreground.

Day 9

Today play Finca Cortesin. Located to the west of Marbella with wonderful views over the Mediterranean Sea. The natural environment and landscape of Cortesin are one of it's most attractive features. The player will remain immersed in a green paradise which is not surrounded by real estate developments. The designers Cabell Robinson and Herald Huggan, landscaper of international fame, have managed to maintain the natural character, finding a perfect equilibrium between the natural plants of the Mediterranean forest and the well manicured fairways and greens.

Non-Golfers:  Shop along the Costa del Sol in Marbella and the trendy marina town of Puerto Banus.

Day 10

Make your way to your chosen golf course. 35 mins

Today play Valderrama.   The best known course on the Costa del Sol, having hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup Matches. It is a course which invariably is in excellent condition throughout the season, consistently ranked #1 in Continental Europe and is Spain's only course in the top 100 in the world. It demands precision from the tee in order to find the narrow fairways nestled between the cork trees. A strong nerve is required on the lightning fast greens. Please note strict handicap limits are set by the club. Men 24 & Ladies 30.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Today visit the wonderful city of Granada. Standing 2,200 ft above sea level in the foothills of the snowcapped Sierra Nevada, Granada sprawls over two main hills, the Alhambra and the Albaicin, and is crossed by two rivers, the Genil and the Darro. This former stronghold of Moorish Spain is full of romance and folklore. Granada has the Alhambra which is considered to be one of the 10 wonders of the world. The Alhambra is a massive castle constructed over many centuries. It consists of gardens, fortifications and sumptuous palaces. It was the home of many of the Arabic Sultans who ruled the whole province. It receives 8000 visitors per day and is Spain's most visited monument. The Albaicin is the old Arabic quarter located on the hill opposite the Alhambra. It is characterised by cobble stoned streets with white washed houses. There are many squares with terazas and places to laze about and have a bite to eat. The Albaicin is an oil painter's paradise and almost at every turn of the head there is an attractive view, almost always involving glimpses of the Alhambra.
