The West Course requires unusual shotmaking, along with blind shots and play over stone dykes. Features the par 3, 15th 'Redan' which is probably the most frequently copied short hole in the world. Entered into the Top 100 Courses in the World in the 2007 Rankings.

Today play the New Course, St Andrews – Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1895, The New Course at St Andrews is a classic test of links golf in Scotland, boasting undulating fairways carved through blankets of gorse bushes, along with challenging-but-normal-sized greens, which naturally are defended by normally obnoxious bunkers.
