The Royal Scotsman 2006
Golfers and sightseers alike will find their search for the exceptional
entirely satisfied aboard The Royal Scotsman in 2006 on our very
special journey around Scotland.
The magic begins with two nights at The Gleneagles Hotel including
golf on the Kings Course and 2007 British Open
venue Carnoustie plus nongolfer visits to Stirling
Castle and St.Andrews. On arrival day, settle down in front of
the TV to watch the conclusion of the 2006 British Open from Royal
Liverpool (Hoylake). The on day three, and with no more than 36
guests aboard, The Royal Scotsman departs Gleneagles station for
the Highlands. The links ahead include the incomparable Royal
Dornoch and the highly rated Nairn plus
Cruden Bay. Sights to see are plentiful from
the royal burgh of Dornoch to castles, cathedrals, gardens and
Loch Ness.
Finally, at the end of a unique journey, The Royal Scotsman will
head into Edinburgh’s Waverley Station.

Saturday, July 22 - This evening depart
the United States.
Sunday, July 23 - Arrive Glasgow Airport,
transfer to the Gleneagles Hotel.
Monday, July 24 -Golf at Carnoustie Golf
Links. Non golfers visit the town of St.Andrews and the coastal
villages of Fife.
Tuesday, July 25 - Golf on the Kings Course
at Gleneagles. Non Golfers visit Stirling Castle. Late this afternoon
embark The Royal Scotsman train and relax as you travel north
to stable overnight in Keith.
Wednesday, July 26 - The Royal Scotsman
continues to Tain where golfers alight for Royal Dornoch Golf
Club. Non Golfers visit Glenmorangie Distillery and Dunrobin Castle
with falconry display. The Royal Scotsman takes the spectacular
journey to Kyle of Lochalsh to stable overnight.
Thursday, July 27 - A leisurely morning
journey travelling east, then golfers alight for golf at Nairn
Golf Club. Non Golfers will visit Ballindalloch Castle and Johnstons
Cashmere Centre in Elgin. The Royal Scotsman will remain overnight
in Keith.
Friday, July 28 - The Royal Scotsman continues
east towards Inverurie where golfers alight for Cruden Bay Golf
Club. Non golfers will enjoy visits to Pitmedden Gardens and Haddo
House. The Royal Scotsman will travel south for overnight stabling
in Stirling.
Saturday, July 29 - Depart the Royal Scotsman at Stirling or Edinburgh and transfer to Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport for your departure flight.
