Saturday, 6 September 2008 ANTALYA, Turkey Arrive in Antalya to be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist with luggage and transfer to the Callisto. Overnight: Callisto in Antalya. Sunday, 7 September 2008 ANTALYA | PERGE | ASPENDOS, Turkey Golf: National Golf Club, a David Feherty layout carved through a pine and eucalyptus woodland and set against the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains. Tour: Two of Turkey’s great ancient sites: Perge, with its great stadium and colonnaded marble streets, and Aspendos, with its grand 20,000 seat theater Overnight: Callisto in Antalya. Monday, 8 September 2008 ANTALYA, Turkey Golf: Cornelia Golf Resort by Nick Faldo is one of the best new courses in Europe from the sumptuous clubhouse to the immaculate course conditions. Tour: Explore Antalya, built on a cliff top overlooking the azure waters of the Mediterranean. Visit the old town for Hadrian’s Gate, and the Antalya Museum. Overnight: Callisto at sea. Tuesday, 9 September 2008 KEKOVA BAY | MYRA, Turkey Callisto cruises through the turquoise waters of Kekova Bay, where the narrow island of Kekova—only five miles long—forms a series of beautiful bays and fjord-like waterways. The waters here contain half-submerged ruins from the ancient city of Simena. Later, travel to the Lycian city of Myra. Overnight: Callisto at sea. Wednesday, 10 September 2008 RHODES | LINDOS, Greece Tour: Visit Rhodes, the site of the ancient acropolis of Hellenistic Rhodes. See the restored 2nd century B.C. stadium, the theater and the remains of temples dedicated to Zeus, Athena and Pythian Apollo. In lovely Lindos, we’ll enjoy lunch at Mavrikos, one of Greece’s top restaurants. Overnight: Callisto at sea. Thursday, 11 September 2008 AGIOS NIKOLAOS | KNOSSOS | HERAKLION, Crete Golf: Crete Golf Club is often recognized as the premier course in Greece. This desert-style lay-out, hewn through rocks and ravines, boasts some of the most beautiful views of sea and mountain available anywhere in Europe. Tour: Explore Knossos, home to the Minoans, Europe’s earliest culture civilization dating to around 1,700 BC. The reconstructed palace reveals the brilliance and refinement of the people. Overnight: Callisto at sea. Friday, 12 September 2008 SANTORINI, Greece Visit Santorini, where in the second millennium BC., volcanic eruptions shrouded the island of in a blanket of pumice and ash, and collapsed the island into a fractured caldera. This sent the Minoan civilization into irreversible decline but has produced the wild, otherworldly, multihued beauty of the island. Overnight: Callisto at sea. Saturday, 13 September 2008 ATHENS | THESSALONIKI | CHALKIDIKI, Greece Disembark Callisto in the morning at Athens’s Zea Marina and transfer to the airport for the short flight to Thessaloniki where you will relax luxuriously at the Danai Beach Resort & Villas, an elegant hotel that overlooks a secluded stretch of the blue Aegean Sea. Overnight: Danai Beach Resort & Villas. Sunday, 14 September 2008 CHALKIDIKI | PORTO CARRAS | CHALKIDIKI, Greece Golf: Our closing round is at Porto Carras Golf Course, a beautifully designed course set in the lovely surroundings at the Porto Carras Grand Resort. Tour: The historic city of Thessaloniki is famous for its early Byzantine churches, for and the Archaeological Museum with its stunning collection of treasures. Overnight: Danai Beach Resort & Villas. Monday, 15 September 2008 Depart Thessaloniki for return flights to the US.
