It is PerryGolf’s particular pleasure to
offer a golf cruise experience like none other. From October
- November and April - May, we will sail the Mathis-Trumpy wooden
yacht of  your choosing from Charleston to Savannah. We’ll
pause to visit Beaufort and Hilton Head, and to play three outstanding
rounds including the Ocean Course at Kiawah and Harbour Town.
The voyage can be adjusted if you wish to include private clubs
you access to in the region.
Introducing the Lowcountry Golf Yacht Cruise. PerryGolf works
in conjunction with McMillen Yachts of Beaufort whose three meticulously
restored Mathis-Trumpy wooden yachts are available for charter
by groups of two to ten guests. The Freedom you’ll
sail is the remarkable, five year, seven million dollar restoration
of a classic built in 1926 by the most prestigious private yacht
builders of their time, John Trumpy the designer and the Mathis
Yacht Building Company. She is the only remaining sister-ship
to the presidential yacht Sequoia which served a dozen presidents
and world dignitaries until from 1925 - 1977. The 85' Enticer was built in 1935 for Joseph Cudahay to cruise between his home
in Chicago and his winter residence in Palm Beach. Four years
later he built the larger 90' Innisfail (pronounced Ennis-fall)
for the same mission.

Day
1 (Saturday): CHARLESTON
Guests arrive Charleston and make own transfer to selected deluxe hotel.
In the early evening meet your PerryGolf Manager who will explain the week’s
activities and schedule and be available to answer any questions.
Dinner on your
own in Charleston.
Overnight: Charleston Hotel
Day
2 (Sunday): CHARLESTON, South Carolina
Breakfast in your hotel. Private transfer to Kiawah Island
for golf on the Ocean Course, venue for the 1991 “War
by the Shore” Ryder Cup Matches and the 2012 PGA Championship.
This Pete Dye links course is challenging and unforgettable.
Your luggage shall be moved from your hotel to Freedom for
embarkation. After golf, private transfer to Bohicket Marina
to board Freedom.
Depart Charleston early evening. Dinner
onboard Freedom.
Overnight: Freedom
Day
3 (Monday): BEAUFORT, South Carolina
Arrive Beaufort approx. 7:00 AM.
No golf is scheduled today
as you have the opportunity to visit and enjoy the charming
low country town of Beaufort, S.C. which officially celebrates
its 300th birthday in 2011. Beaufort sits alongside the Beaufort
River and played a significant role in both the Revolutionary
and Civil Wars. It has many quaint shops and restaurants
and a spirited night life.
Our mooring tonight is in Beaufort.
Dinner on board Freedom.
Overnight: Freedom
Day
4 (Tuesday): HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina
Depart for Hilton Head after breakfast; arrive for lunch.
Golf
today at Harbour Town, venue for the PGA TOUR annually and
regarded by many as the most iconic of lowcountry courses at
the tip of Hilton Head Island. There is plenty of opportunity
today to enjoy Hilton Head Island after golf.
Our mooring tonight
is in Hilton Head. Dinner on board Freedom.
Overnight: Freedom
Day
5 (Wednesday): PALMETTO BLUFF, South Carolina
Golf today at the May River Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature
design which eases through the May River Forest with several
holes right on the banks of the river.
Dinner onboard Freedom.
Overnight: Freedom

6 (Thursday): SAVANNAH, Georgia
Depart Hilton Head mid morning; arrive Savannah early afternoon.
Disembark Freedom. |
