PerryGolf Escorted Tour
New Zealand: Golf, Grandeur & Wine of the
North & South Islands
24 March–7 April, 2007
12 Nights / 7 Rounds / Wine Tour
Escorted Tour for Party of 12
New Zealand is one of international golf’s
most talked about destinations, thanks largely to the recent unleashing
of Tom Doak’s stunning Cape Kidnappers.
The game’s roots reach back to 1871 however, and there is
no place on earth where you will find such a wide variety of striking
geographies. This 12 night / 7 round PerryGolf escorted tour begins
with New Zealand’s most popular holiday destination, the
Bay of Islands, for three nights at the five star Paihia Beach
Resort & Spa with play at Kerikeri plus Kauri
Cliffs. South to Lake Taupo, world famous for trout fishing,
you will relax for two nights at Manuels Millennium Resort and
play at one of the best inland courses in the country, Wairakei.
Now traveling southeast below Napier and into the heart of the
Hawke’s Bay “Wine Country”, is prestigious Mangapapa
Lodge. This grand country home built in 1885, now totally refurbished
with twelve ensuite guestrooms, will be your home for the next
two nights as you enjoy a wine tour, Art Deco Walk, and the “gauntlet
of golf” – Cape Kidnappers!
Traveling to the South Island and Queenstown, the tour continues
at majestic Millbrook Resort. Set in one of the world’s
most stunning natural locations, you will find New Zealand’s
leading spa and Sir Bob Charles’ 18-hole Millbrook
masterpiece. A second round at nearby Queenstown (Kelvin
Heights) is best experienced with camera and clubs to
commemorate what is considered to be one of the most scenic golf
courses in the world. The pace then changes for a bit with a visit
to Christchurch — the South Island’s beautiful and
largest city. Clearwater, aptly named as pure
springs and streams bring water into play on fourteen holes, offers
a final round. |
