This evening depart the United States.

Day 2

On arrival at the Glasgow Airport you will be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your transportation.

Play today at Western Gailes, rated by many visitors to Scotland as its finest ''unknown'', and perhaps its most enjoyable. The course relies on natural defenses created by the sand dunes and wind. A traditional links layout that plays in a loop with its toughest stretch along the banks of the dunes that generally plays into the prevailing wind.

We invite you to view a video of the course click here.

Overnight: Turnberry, A Luxury Collection Resort, Scotland: Classic Room - including Scottish breakfast

Day 3

Play Royal Troon. Eight time venue of the British Open, the course played host to the 2004 Championship and was praised for its testing but fair set up. A long and demanding links, Troon unusually boasts both the longest and the shortest holes in Open Championship golf, being the Postage Stamp 8th at 126 yards, and the 6th at 577 yards 6th named Turnberry.

Day 4

Play the Ailsa Course at Turnberry. Lying on a spectacular curve of rockbound coast in the southern reaches of Ayrshire. The coastal scenery is magnificent especially from the 4th through the 11th passing the famous landmark lighthouse at the turn. This is a demanding links, and an ever present wind will make for a tough examination of your golfing skills. In 2009, the Ailsa Course hosted the Open Championship for the 4th time when golfing legend Tom Watson lost out to Stewart Cink in a play off for the Claret Jug.

Overnight: Fairmont St Andrews: Fairmont Room - including Scottish breakfast

Day 5

Today play Carnoustie, host to the British Open on seven occasions and considered by many to be the most challenging of all Open venues. While the links is relatively flat it is exposed to the elements. A combination of length and accuracy are required from the tee and approach shots demand precision to the greens heavily guarded by steep bunkers and burns. Arguably the toughest finishing holes in championship golf, the course gained much praise following a testing but fair set up for the 2007 Open Championship. Please note there is one golf cart available to hire for medical certificate holders. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.

Day 6

Today challenge the Old Course of St. Andrews (tbc), the ''Home of Golf''. The Old Course has played host to the greatest golfers in the world and produced many of golf's dramatic moments. Wide double fairways, seven extensive double greens, and a multitude of intimidating bunkers are just some of the unique features you will encounter.

Day 7

Today play Kingsbarns. Its historical origins date back to 1793. Its sandy, linksland soils are the basis for this heritage, and produce the fine-bladed fescues which are the cornerstone of fast-and-firm playing surfaces that characterise links golf. Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened anew in 2000, its rebirth has been shared with golfers from near and far with outstanding reviews. The links features spacious rolling fairways, large greens, and exceptional sea views on every hole. A challenging yet enjoyable champion-standard traditional Scottish links course.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Changes: After deposits have been received and confirmation has been issued, any changes requested by the client are subject to an administrative fee of $50.00 per change per person in addition to any charges which may be made by suppliers for cancellations. In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

*Old Course - Pricing like with like: Many travel companies readily provide price quotations for golf travel to Scotland including "guaranteed" play on the Old Course, St.Andrews. The reality is they are often unable to ultimately deliver the promise of an advance confirmed time, on the dates you wish to travel, due to their very limited access, and indeed you may only become aware of this at a relatively late stage in the process. When comparing price quotes and selecting a golf travel company for travel to the Home of Golf, be aware that PerryGolf, through an ongoing premium starting time contract, holds significantly more Old Course inventory than other golf tour operators and is in an unrivalled positon to deliver this promise. Candidly, this access comes at a significant cost to PerryGolf, which is reflected in our price quotation. Be assured however you are receiving greater value than "similar" quotations from many other companies.

The handicap limit for playing the Old Course is 24 for men and 36 for ladies. In addition, an official handicap card will be a prerequisite for play at the Old Course.

PerryGolf arrangements for providing confirmed access on the Old Course of St. Andrews may require a guaranteed minimum spend in the St. Andrews Links Clubhouse of £70 - £30 food & beverage & £40 merchandise per person. We will bill you in advance at the same time as your tour costs at the rate of $120 and provide you with redeemable vouchers.

To check our current availability click here.

Portable GPS Navigator: GPS systems are available for hire through National Car Rental at most major rental branches. Please check with your Agent for rates and locations.

Royal Troon: Visitors must be members of a recognised golf club and carry handicaps not greater than 20 for men and 30 for ladies. Additionally, you MUST be at least 16 years of age to play Royal Troon's Old Course (no exceptions).

Western Gailes: This is a private male club and while ladies are most welcome to play the course, it is a tough test for all but the most accomplished lady golfers. Please note that lunch in the clubhouse is included in your green fee on weekdays and is taken in the main dining room. Lunch not included for Saturday or Sunday play. Dress code for the dining room is appropriate golfing attire. Please note for weekend play visitors should not turn up at the club more than 30mins prior to their starting time.
