Tuesday, July 13

Play The Torrance Course a spectacular course incorporating cliff-edge holes and stunning views over the North Sea and the medieval skyline of historic St Andrews. The course has recently undergone a major refurbishment program and reopened in July 2009. It was host venue to the European Seniors Scottish Open and is final qualifying venue for the Open Championship in 2010.

A Grounds Series Ticket is included to the British Open Championship. You are welcome to attend the championship on any day including all practice days during your stay.

Thursday, July 15

Today play the Castle Course. Located two miles from St Andrews town centre, and following the Fife coastline, the Castle Course is the latest addition to the St Andrews Links Courses. Opened in 2008, the designer, David McLay Kidd, creator of Bandon Dunes has created a typical Scottish golf experience with wonderful views over the town and the North Sea. It has been designed with tradition very much in mind. Approaches will allow play for bump and run as well as pitches and the heavily contoured greens will be features of the course.

Today play Kingsbarns (tbc). Its historical origins date back to 1793. Its sandy, linksland soils are the basis for this heritage, and produce the fine-bladed fescues which are the cornerstone of fast-and-firm playing surfaces that characterise links golf. Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened anew in 2000, its rebirth has been shared with golfers from near and far with outstanding reviews. The links features spacious rolling fairways, large greens, and exceptional sea views on every hole. A challenging yet enjoyable champion-standard traditional Scottish links course.

Your travel throughout is as follows:

National Car Rental: Vauxhall Vectra with automatic transmission or similar. Includes Unlimited Mileage, Damage Liability Waiver and Mastercover Plus, thus no excess applicable should your vehicle sustain damage or loss.
Special Air Services: You may wish to consider the selective use of private aircraft or helicopter transportation to visit golf courses not otherwise easily accessible, or simply to eliminate longer road journeys. TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN - PerryGolf recommends that you have luggage, accident and trip cancellation insurance. It is important for your own self-interest and protection that you make certain you have adequate coverage. Check with your insurance company or travel agent. The Travel Protection Plan will provide coverage if your cancellation is caused by a covered reason (e.g. sickness or injury) and you will receive a benefit, such as full reimbursement of all lost monies, under the terms and conditions of the Travel Protection Plan. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Changes: After deposits have been received and confirmation has been issued, any changes requested by the client are subject to an administrative fee of $50.00 per change per person in addition to any charges which may be made by suppliers for cancellations. In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

Portable GPS Navigator: GPS systems are available for hire through National Car Rental at most major rental branches. Please check with your Agent for rates and locations.

Golf Pairings - If your group does not comprise a complete foursome, please be aware that at certain courses where extreme demand exists we may pair you with other clients of PerryGolf to ensure maximum utilization of that starting time. This will normally always occur at all of the St. Andrews courses (i.e. Old, New etc.). Additionally, although only very occasionally exercised, some golf clubs do reserve the right to make groups up as complete foursomes on the day of play.
