It was host venue to the European Seniors Scottish Open and is a final qualifying venue for the Open Championship in 2010.

Before or after golf enjoy a Travel Recovery Massage in the Spa.  (60min duration)

Tuesday, July 13

Today play Kingsbarns (tbc). Its historical origins date back to 1793. Its sandy, linksland soils are the basis for this heritage, and produce the fine-bladed fescues which are the cornerstone of fast-and-firm playing surfaces that characterise links golf. Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened anew in 2000, its rebirth has been shared with golfers from near and far with outstanding reviews. The links features spacious rolling fairways, large greens, and exceptional sea views on every hole. A challenging yet enjoyable champion-standard traditional Scottish links course.

We invite you to view a video of the course click here.

Wednesday, July 14

Today play Carnoustie (tbc), host to the British Open on seven occasions and considered by many to be the most challenging of all Open venues. While the links is relatively flat it is exposed to the elements. A combination of length and accuracy are required from the tee and approach shots demand precision to the greens heavily guarded by steep bunkers and burns. Arguably the toughest finishing holes in championship golf, the course gained much praise following a testing but fair set up for the 2007 Open Championship. Please note there is one golf cart available to hire for medical certificate holders. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.

We invite you to view a video of the course click here.

Play the Ailsa Course (tbc) at the Westin Turnberry Resort. Lying on a spectacular curve of rockbound coast in the southern reaches of Ayrshire, the Ailsa Course is scheduled to host the 2009 British Open, having been previous host on three occasions with Tom Watson, Greg Norman and Nick Price as winners.

Sunday, July 18

Play today at Prestwick (tbc), which occupies a unique niche in golfing history. It was here in 1860 that the very first British Open was played with just a handful of participants. This links can produce some awkward stances on undulating fairways. Typical of the original golfing terrain, Prestwick provides a taste of golf as it was played long ago.

It is important for your own self-interest and protection that you make certain you have adequate coverage. Check with your insurance company or travel agent. You may learn more about the PerryGolf Travel Protection Plan by visiting here. The Travel Protection Plan will provide coverage if your cancellation is caused by a covered reason (e.g. sickness or injury) and you will receive a benefit, such as full reimbursement of all lost monies, under the terms and conditions of the Travel Protection Plan. If purchased within seven days of the initial deposit, this Protection Plan also includes a "Cancellation for Any Reason" waiver.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Changes: After deposits have been received and confirmation has been issued, any changes requested by the client are subject to an administrative fee of $50.00 per change per person in addition to any charges which may be made by suppliers for cancellations. In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

Portable GPS Navigator: GPS systems are available for hire through National Car Rental at most major rental branches. Please check with your Agent for rates and locations.

Prestwick: The club welcomes both gentlemen and lady visitors alike. It should be noted that due to a number of long carries over gorse and heather the course plays particularly difficult for ladies.

Golf Pairings - If your group does not comprise a complete foursome, please be aware that at certain courses where extreme demand exists we may pair you with other clients of PerryGolf to ensure maximum utilization of that starting time. This will normally always occur at all of the St. Andrews courses (i.e. Old, New etc.). Additionally, although only very occasionally exercised, some golf clubs do reserve the right to make groups up as complete foursomes on the day of play.
