Day 1

This evening depart the United States.


Day 2
On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your transportation.

Day 3

Sightseeing Inclusion: Cape Peninsula Tour. Depart the city along the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard, en route to the fishing village of Hout Bay where (as an optional extra) take a half-hour cruise to see Cape Fur Seals, or explore the harbour, visiting its fish markets and shops. Continue over the 600m heights of Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most breath-taking passes and past the Cape’s longest beach, with a chance to spot Southern Right Whales just offshore from June to November.

Enter the Cape of Good Hope National Park for a walk (or optional funicular ride) up to the Cape Point Lighthouse, to take in magical ocean vistas at this, the south westernmost point of Africa. Head along the False Bay coast to Boulders Beach near Simonstown to see a colony of African Penguins and then continue past the seaside resorts of False Bay, towards the city. The last stop of the day is Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, for a walk through one of the largest collections of indigenous plants in the world.

Day 4


Play today at Steenberg (tbc). An 18 hole championship course designed by Peter Matkovich; a backdrop of vineyards, gardens, forests and mountains provides the setting for this beautiful exclusive course. The course is always in excellent condition with bent grass greens and lush fairways. Steenberg offers you the opportunity of excellent golf within the historic setting of one of the Cape's oldest wine farms. Dating back to 1682 the vineyards have been replanted and 140 acres are now under vines.

 


Sightseeing Inclusion: Depart the city for the Lower Cableway Station to board the revolving cable car for a 5-minute ride to the top of Table Mountain. 1036 meters above sea level, it affords bird’s-eye views of both city and Peninsula as you walk its summit (weather permitting). Return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company Gardens, the fresh produce gardens for ships and locals from the mid 17th Century and today, home to the SA Museum, Cultural History Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George’s Cathedral. Stroll through the city to Greenmarket Square to browse African mementos at its bustling market stalls.

Drive to the Castle, the oldest building in South Africa with its collection of Old Cape paintings and take in the Grand Parade where Nelson Mandela addressed the nation on his release in 1990. Move on to the District Six Museum to view a moving collection of stories, pictures and memorabilia highlighting the colorful life of this suburb which now stands empty, thanks to the destruction of homes and forced removal of residents during the height of the Apartheid era.

Day 5

Sightseeing Inclusion: Depart the city for a scenic drive towards the Boland Mountains and Cape Wine Country. Here, explore some of its many historic wine estates with a first stop at a winery for a cellar tour and a chance to taste some of the exceptional wines of this world famous wine area.
Continue to Stellenbosch, South Africa's second oldest town, with its classic 17-18th Century Cape Dutch architecture set amidst oak-lined avenues, and pause a while to browse this beautiful university town. Proceed to Boschendal Wine Estate visiting its impressively restored manor house, en route to Franschhoek, where French Huguenots settled in 1688. Explore the town's shops and galleries before returning to Cape Town via Paarl, birthplace of the Afrikaans language.

Day 6

Today play Arabella (tbc). Ranked no. 5 in South Africa in 2005, Arabella is perfectly designed to exploit is unique position alongside the largest natural lagoon in Southern Africa. The 8th, 9th, 17th and 18th holes run parallel to the lagoon, proving a truly memorable experience. Choosing a signature hole proves to be an extremely difficult task as all of the holes are well designed with spectacular views. The course is the host course to the Nelson Mandela Invitational, Africa's premier Pro-am Charity Event.

Day 7

Drive from Arabella to Fancourt. Take the coastal route to see the whales or the inland route to travel mountain passes and visit wineries.
You may choose the main highway, adding golf today.

Day 8

Today play Fancourt - The Montagu (tbc). Designed by Gary Player and remodeled in 2004 by David McKlay-Kidd (Bandon Dunes), the Montagu is South Africa's best parkland golf course. With the highest levels of conditioning and true championship layout, The Montagu at Fancourt sets the standards by which all other courses in South Africa are measured.

Day 9

Today play Fancourt - The Links (tbc). Created from a previously flat piece of land, over 700 000 cubic metres of earth was moved in transforming it into a typical Links style. The course presents undulating windswept terrain and dune-style landscape and is the only such course in South Africa. Every hole has received detailed attention to ensure that the overall balance in terms of length, position of hazards and shot values are in harmony. As a result, The Links presents a stern test in all weather conditions. This is a walking course with caddies, and is ranked 3 in South Africa. Host course of the 2003 Presidents Cup, 2005 Women's World Cup and 2006 South African Open

Day 10

Drive from Fancourt to Shamwari -4 hours. Arrive in time for orientation and the afternoon activities.

Day 11

When you visit Shamwari Game Reserve, we would want you to have the 'safari of a lifetime'. We will assign a personal game ranger to your group of 6. Your game ranger and lodge manager will design your daily program with you. You wull experience, learn and enjoy the very best that African wildlife viewing can offer. To achieve this goal, we have brought together the best that the area has to offer. There is great game viewing, in modern open game viewing vehicles that have been especially converted to maximise comfort and viewing potential. Your personal game ranger will provide insightful and valuable information about the fauna and flora. In between game drives your time is filled with relaxing, reading, spa treatments, swimming, enjoying delicious cuisine, a game walk, or a visit to one of the two Born Free Big Cat Sanctuary

Enjoy the morning safari and brunch before a road transfer to Port Elizabeth. (1hour)

Four door MPV vehicle (Volkswagen Caravelle or similar) with concierge driver. Suitable for 4 passengers with luggage and golf clubs.

Due to the large size of South Africa, a specialized concierge driver/ guide may be assigned per region visited.
Special Air Services: You may wish to consider the selective use of private aircraft or helicopter transportation to visit golf courses not otherwise easily accessible, or simply to eliminate longer road journeys. Changes: After deposits have been received and confirmation has been issued, any changes requested by the client are subject to an administrative fee of $50.00 per change per person in addition to any charges which may be made by suppliers for cancellations. In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

Fancourt - The Links: Please be aware the The Links is a walking course and caddies are compulsary.

Passport Requirements for travel to South Africa: On arrival in South Africa, holders of US passports must have in their possession a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of this trip. Your passport must have at least (6) blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps. If you are not a citizen of the United States, your entry requirements may vary, please contact the nearest diplomatic or consular office of the country or countries to be visited and obtain the specific requirements for entry.
