Day 1/2

This evening depart the United States. You will travel over the International Date Line and arrive in New Zealand two days after your departure.


Day 3

On arrival at Auckland Airport you will be met by PerryGolf personnel who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your transportation.

Sightseeing Information (Bay of Islands) - The region has the finest maritime park in New Zealand with the 144 Islands and secluded bays. The Bay has an abundance of marine life, including the big marlin, whales, penguins, dolphins, gannets and many other species.The maritime and historic park is the original cradle of European civilization and has fine examples of Maori culture. The Bay with its pristine natural environment is the gathering place in the South Pacific for overseas sailing yachts on world cruises, international sport fishermen, golfers and marine enthusiasts.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Reinga - 90 mile beach: Fully air-conditioned coach trip north to the 'Tip' of New Zealand, travel the beach one way. Visit Puketi Kauri Forest and view 1000 year old Kauri trees. Dig for shellfish or wade in the surf on 90 mile beach. Capture the beauty of Cape Reinga where the Pacific Ocean meets the Tasman Sea. Slide down giant sand dunes on our toboggans. Various seaside towns (Mangonui etc) enroute.

Day 4

Golf today at Kauri Cliffs (tbc). Designed by David Harman this world class course also offers unparalleled spectacular ocean views. Situated high above the ocean, 15 of the holes look out on the Pacific Ocean. Immaculately presented, it is a fantastic experience to play and the memories will last forever. Rated number 5 worldwide by David Seanor of Golfweek.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Waitangi Treaty Grounds: Gifted to the nation by Lord & Lady Bledisloe, the Waitangi Treaty grounds is a unique and fascinating insight into New Zealand's historic past. Visit the Treaty House, fully carved Maori Meeting House, Maori war canoe, the award winning sound and light display in the meeting house and the magnificent park like grounds where the Treaty was signed in 1840.

Day 5

Today play Kerikeri (tbc). Rated as one of the finest courses in the North, it is a challenging layout that is always in top condition. Situated in New Zealand's citrus growing capital, this private club is fun to play and the native bush surrounding the course abounds with birdlife.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Board Dolphin Seeker to experience a fantastic feeling of seeing Dolphins in the wild while cruising the beautiful Bay of Islands. Different types of whales may be seen on your way to the famous Hole in the Rock and Cathedral Cove. Your captain provides an informative commentary on the history of the Bay of Islands and the marine life. You may spend some time at histories Russell upon your return.

Day 6

Today fly to Taupo Airport.


Sightseeing Suggestion:Taupo. This beautiful resort and holiday base enjoys a scenic location on the shores of Lake Taupo, at the centre of the North Island. The town sits on a thermal belt, and visitors can see areas of boiling mud, steam and geysers north of the town at Wairakei Park and Orakei Korako. Thermal activity first attracted visitors during the 1880s, but today the town lures anglers from throughout the world with a plentiful supply of rainbow and brown trout. Lake Taupo is popular for swimming, boating, waterskiing, jetskiing, kayaking, rowing and scenic cruises, while thrillseekers can enjoy bungy jumping, tandem skydiving, jetboating and whitewater rafting. The spectacular Huka Falls and the Aratiatia Rapids lie to the north of the town, while to the south are the imposing mountains of the volcanic plateau and the skifields of Mount Ruapehu.

Day 7

Today play Wairakei International (tbc). The best inland course in the country, it has been rated by Golf Digest in the top 100 in the world. It provides everything one could wish for in a golf course. The signature hole is the 615 par par 5 14th, aptly named 'The Rogue', a very demanding hole.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Today you will have the opportunity to go fishing on Lake Taupo. Enjoy time out on this beautiful lake aboard a luxury launch. Experience your freshly caught trout barbecued to perfection on board by your skipper. An unforgettable experience and dinner.

Day 8

Sightseeing Suggestion: Art Deco Tour. Napier is known as the Art Deco City. Walking tours, most conducted by the Art Deco Trust, operate daily and leave from the Marine Parade and proceed through Napier's Art Deco Quarter and a stylish retail shop. Delight in the decorative and colourful buildings - Napier is famous for its Jazz age architecture.

Sightseeing Suggestion:Gannet Colony: Cape Kidnappers is the largest and most accessible mainland Gannet Colony in the world. You will se these amazing birds nesting, preening, flying and performing the fascinating recognition ritual Dance of the Gannets. Travel in air-conditioned 4wd vehicles over the hill country of Cape Kidnappers Station. Stretch your legs at the brink of a cliff 100 metres above the beach and view the Hawke's Bay out to the Mahia Peninsula. No walking is required.

Day 9


Today play Cape Kidnappers (tbc). Renowned architect Tom Doak's first project outside of the U.S.A., Cape Kidnappers is perched on fingers of land nearly 500 feet above Hawke Bay, this vertigo inducing course, creased by ravines and patrolled by gannets, belongs more to heaven than earth. It is seaside golf at its finest, you'll hit heroic shots over the tops of tea trees, and play cautiously along the edges of deep ravines, every hole has a view of the Bay. Enjoy your game and enjoy the setting. You will never play golf somewhere like this again.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Take the Wine enthusiasts tour. Enjoy the expertise of local winemakers, visit several boutique wineries. Travel the Western Plains Wine Route and the East to the Havelock North wineries. Hawke's Bay produces some of New Zealand's best red and white wines and is probably most noted for its Merlot and Cabernet Savignon.

Day 10

Today fly to Queenstown Airport.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Queenstown. Treasured for its magnificent scenery, adventure opportunities and luxury lifestyle. Long summer days blonde the tussocks, throwing the hills open to mountain bikers and hikers. The brilliant reds and golds of autumn colour the trees, inspiring photographers and golfers alike. In winter, snow transforms the region into a remarkable alpine playground for skiers and snowboarders. Spring brings the spark of fresh green to the landscape, a time to celebrate life with a cruise on the lake or an invigorating bungy jump. In any season, you can count on stylish accommodation, designer shopping and marvellous cuisine experiences. Queenstown's compact downtown area is a cosmopolitan hub that's relaxed during the day and huge fun at night.

Day 11


Today play at Millbrook (tbc). Designed by internationally renowned New Zealand professional golfer and former British Open winner, Sir Bob Charles. Millbrook's golf course is an exceptional golfing experience, set against a spectacular alpine backdrop and fashioned from the original terrain, this course provides exciting and demanding golf.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Today fly from Queenstown through the majestic Southern Alps and land at Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. The luncheon, launch cruise on the Sound is breathtaking. See Mitre Peak, waterfalls, sheer cliffs, dolphins, seals and much more. Return by plane to Queenstown.

Day 12


Today play Queenstown (Kelvin Heights) (tbc). Built on a wooded peninsula protruding into Lake Wakatipu, it is known as one of the world's most scenic courses. Both a photographer's and golfer's dream, it demands accurate driving and true iron shots. The hardest part however is to concentrate on golf rather than the mountain beauty.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Jet Boating. An abundance of activities in Queenstown include an exhilarating trip on the Shotover and Kawarau Rivers by Jetboat. Nothing will have you prepared for this excitement and thrill as you jet up beautiful rivers and experience awesome scenery.

Day 13

Today fly to Christchurch Airport.

Sightseeing Suggestion: City Sights Tour: Four outstanding things to do in Christchurch in one day. First the International Antarctic Centre, experience the Antarctic first hand. Take a ride on the Christchurch Tram which weaves through the Central City. Visit the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and finish up at the Christchurch Gondola, where after a cable car ride to the summit, be treated to breathtaking 360 degree views of Christchurch.

Day 14

Play today at Terrace Downs (tbc). Located in the foothills of the Southern Alps, Terrace Downs is set in spectacular mountain scenery. Downs is a long way from the sea but it looks and feels in parts like a links course. Elsewhere it plays like a parkland course. This golf course has some of the most scintillating views of any in New Zealand.

Sightseeing Suggestion: Spend a day exploring the charming village of Akaroa, a former French settlement located on the Banks Peninsula. Join a cruise on Akaroa Harbour, spotting dolphins and seals then simply relax and explore the shops and cafes of this quaint township.

Day 15

Today play Christchurch (tbc). This is the 2nd oldest club in New Zealand and has stood the test of time exceptionally well. A links type course with immaculate greens it has in the old traditions a great mix of long holes and exciting, delicate short ones. (P.J. Boatwright of the U.S.G.A. stated in 1990 that it could worthily hold the U.S. Open Championship).

Sightseeing Suggestion: Garden Tour: Discover the natural beauty of Christchurch on this wonderful sightseeing tour. Visit two public and 2 private gardens that few overseas guests see and get close to nature. You will experience some of the most stunning gardens which will show you why this New Zealand city is known as 'The Garden City'.

Day 16

Depart New Zealand from the Christchurch Airport. You will cross the International Date Line and arrive in the US on the same date as departing New Zealand.

Budget: Toyota Previa with automatic transmission or similar, with unlimited mileage, comprehensive insurance with reduced excess to $250.00 + GST.

Special Air Services: You may wish to consider the selective use of private aircraft or helicopter transportation to visit golf courses not otherwise easily accessible, or simply to eliminate longer road journeys. KAURI CLIFFS LODGE
The lodge and course at Kauri Cliffs are situated on the truly spectacular Pacific Ocean coast, a little north of the Bay of Islands. Kauri cliffs opened in February 2001. The main building boasts a large dining room, lounge, card room and tiger room named after the resort owner's affectionate moniker. All rooms in the main building have open fireplaces, and elegant furnishings, featuring English, Italian and Spanish antiques. All the artwork has originated in New Zealand. Adjacent to the main building is the accommodation. Sixteen rooms feature in eight separate cottages looking from the edge of native New Zealand forest, across the golf course to the Pacific Ocean and coastal islands. IMPORTANT INFORMATION


Changes: After deposits have been received and confirmation has been issued, any changes requested by the client are subject to an administrative fee of $50.00 per change per person in addition to any charges which may be made by suppliers for cancellations. In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

Golf Carts & Caddies in New Zealand & Australia: With the exception of Cape Kidnappers, Kauri Cliffs and Royal Melbourne, caddies (including bag carriers) are not available in New Zealand & Australia. The majority of golf courses have (riding) golf carts (except most of the sandbelt courses around Melbourne). All golf courses have good access to pull carts (trundlers).
