At the end of this past January, seven members of the PerryGolf team headed east from our PerryGolf UK Office in Helensburgh, Scotland for a ‘FAM’ trip in Scotland’s capital. Edinburgh is a fantastic city with so much to offer in a fairly concentrated city centre. Click here to view sightseeing suggestions in Edinburgh and East Lothian.
Simply put, the 5-Star Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian is the place to stay. Located on Princes Street, this former Victorian railway hotel sits within a stone’s throw of designer stores and trendy pubs on George Street, and within walking distance to Edinburgh Castle.
Another attractive selling point is that some of the signature rooms in the hotel actually have views of Edinburgh Castle.
Our team headed through mid-afternoon that Sunday, so we had plenty of time to look around the city centre, walk along the Royal Mile and visit the Castle!
After our walk, we headed to the hotel where we were greeted by Chris Logan, Sales Executive at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, who kindly hosted our visit. Chris provided our team with thorough insight to all of the hotel’s services and amenities, including a variety of bedrooms, restaurant options and function rooms which can be used for private dining.
Chris also showed us the UK’s first Guerlain Spa – a very popular choice for both non-golfing spouses and even golfers after a tough day on the links.
Dinner that evening was served in the The Galvin Brasserie de Luxe and every member of our PerryGolf team gave it 10/10 – you can see how happy we are when our starters were delivered!
There are a few dining options available in the hotel, ranging from bar snacks in the Caley Bar to a fine dining experience in The Pompadour. The hotel really is the complete package.
Without doubt our PerryGolf team was impressed and very much appreciated Chris’s time and effort. We look forward to working in the months to come with Chris and the rest of the team at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian.
